So this last valentines day i had planned on going to some valentines event. Although I did not have a valentine I was able to ask a girl that I am interested in to carpooling with me to this event. We had a very enjoyable time and afterwards got something to drink and had a talk (just the two of us) about anything from what she looks for in a guy to how she gets when shes buzzed and all haha. But anyways...she had told me that night that ALL she wants is a guy that likes for her good and bad. Now this is were I got confused...the next day we had a bonfire with a group of people. And the subject of what we look for in our partners came up. And she had said the same thing..but she added that she wants a guy that is like 5-6 inches taller than her ( not the first time she said it either) And I am 5'6 which makes me like 3-4 inches taller than her...n I have been a bit insecure of my height for awhile now. After she said this I started to think that maybe she was trying to tell me something...you see where Im going with this? I know its my insecurity but I just wanted your opinion and what you thought I should do or I dont know haha...any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. |

You are taller than her, what's the problem? All women say they want taller men. It's instinctive. What they say and who they'll do is entirely different. You know how tall Tom Cruise is? 5'7". Katie Holmes [his current wife] is 5'9". Nicole Kidman [his 2nd wife] is 5'11"! Don't let her phase you. |

Most women do prefer their guy to be taller than them. But that doesn't mean it has to be 5-6 inches or whatever. In fact, a guy that is significantly taller them is a turn-off. So as long as you are a few inches taller that is good. Rarely do women prefer to be taller than a guy, but there are women who either don't mind or actually like it. And I doubt that statement was directed as a subtle message to you. |

dont worry about it man... My X was 6'2"... I am 6'2" yet she was like 1/2 an inch taller then me (I think she was closer to 6'3" and just claimed to be 6'2")... she had a hard and fast rule that she would NEVER date a guy who was shorter then her Oh and if this was directed at you... it's probably because she figures your about 5-6 inches taller then her, alot of times women arent as precise with things like height calculations... and if your really 4 inches taller she may see you and think your 5-6 inches taller |
