I can open sets all night and consistently remain in set for well past five minutes. Ill spend at most one minute on the opener then some fluff with a little comedy like if they ask me my age Ill say Im 72 but I look younger because I dont smoke, stuff like that. Then Ive had some success with the C's vs U's and 80's dog opener that I just use as fluff. I deliver both well as they always receive genuine interest, laughs, or big eyes when I tell them my ex had her teeth surgically re-done from a U to a C. Ok, where do I go from here? I'm often already sitting with them in the alpha position so the group is focused on me. What do you guys like to fill with if awkard silence comes in 5 minutes into the set? |
