Post subject:  some tips on good openers I can use in this situations
I'm a college student and well I spend a great deal of time at computer labs in the library and a lot of times I sit next to females and I just feel a bit stumped as to what type of openers use in order to break the ice and get a conversation going.

Say "Hi, How are you doing?" make sure to smile and remember the 3 second rule. It is really incredible and easy to do that simple opener and start a conversation.

For example: You walk and sit down at a Computer, turn to the girl next to you smile and say "Hi, How are you doing?"

Her: "Oh, ok. you?"

You: "Im doing great. Why just ok?"

Her: "my dog ate my homework, etc... blah blah blah"

just adjust to what she says....

i discovered this by accident but i think it will work.

simply open up a funny website and start laughing your head off.

the chances are she will open you with' whats so funny' (thats what happened to me)

if not you could say 'you ve got to check this out, it is so funny'

as i said i used this the first time naturally with a funny email from a friend so it isnt field tested.
