Uh, LIVE LIFE!! Travel...Read...Get out of your comfort zone!! Just live. Don't do it for some broad. Do it for yourself. The more curious you are about the world and others the more people will want to talk to you. We learn by living. Sadly, most of you are not living. Everyone can teach you a lesson. Remember that. Too many of you young boys think you are funny and interesting. YOU ARE NOT! The world is what is interesting. Show an interest in it and you will have no trouble with others. BE HUMBLE. Cocky-funny is fool's gold. Just like negging. Negative energy pushes others away. |

I know what you mean, it is worth hunting google for the more business related conversations lessons, lets face it salesmen are amongst the best talkers in the world. Active listening and NLP are well worth a look as well, send em a PM if you need any more help |

i have the same problem!!! but its been getting better. I found one problem is i hold back and repress my thoughts and ideas becuase of a low self of steem from my childhood, but we wont get into that. It's getting alot better though, im learning to just say whatever comes to mind. Another problem I have is not being able to relate to people, not knowing what to talk about. I just start learning what people find interesting. For example, women love emotional roller coasters, ie soap operas. So im learning to talk about my emotions and stuff like that. Also, some good resources ive found are: "Conversationally Speaking" by alan garner(book), its very basic, but it helped me out alot To encourage my creative, fun, funny side; ive been reading and practicing improv and comedy. "The comics toolbox" is a good book. also, "improv wisdom' of course Jugglers stuff Ive been searching alot and those are the only good reasources ive found Ive noticed that the more i understand about conversation and comedy, i can slowly work towards being better at it |
