So last night I was out with some mates and we stumbled out of a kebab shop at the end of our night, and the radio in there was blasting out some Pussycat Dolls tune. I saw three girls sat on the kerb, probly waiting for a taxi, so I decided I was going to talk to them whether they liked it or not - and because I was trashed there was no AA at all - yay! I said to them, squatting down to their kind of level, "you know that Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls? She's part Filipino, just like me." The girl on the end was quite cute and we got talking a bit, about travel, the far-east etc. Then a mate came over and kinda didn't help things, but then he left and the girl in the middle, not so cute, was all like "you should catch up with your mates". I brushed that off with "they're more drunk than I am, they won't get that far ahead" and tried to carry on chatting, but got interrupted again with "by the way, that chat-up line about being Filipino was not very good" to which I tried to say how it wasn't a chat-up line, it was a fact. I think I made a pleasant goodbye and left them eventually. Any pointers on dealing with these mother hen types? She wasn't older, but you can tell when some girl is kinda in charge of their group. I think you're supposed to turn your attention to the MH to disarm but I can't really remember. |

"How cute, you think I was trying to chat you guys up." You should have befriended her beforehand so that she would not react like this, however when you're faced with these kinds of reactions you should be able to handle it with the same mentality as a shit test. If you get defensive "It wasn't a pickup line" then you've lost but if you are unfazed and have good frame control you'll be able to plow through and get the girl so to speak. |

Call her out, neg her. Say to her friends 'Is she always this protective? can't you girls take care of yourselves?' No matter what they reply say 'That's adorable. She's like the mother hen figure!' |
