does being overweight, short and ugly affect my chances with women? all the puas tend to be pretty good looking, and the only one ive seen who isnt really is thundercat, and he seems to be pretty bad compared to the decent guys. im only like 5ft7 tops, im about 13.5 stone and my looks are pretty bad. i got some advice as to basically go emo inmy look and start wearing makeup to peacock basically, but i dont think itd work if im overweight. im also extremely anxious socially to the point of panic attacks. i know loads of techniques for pickup but i cant use em cos i cant talk to girls and if i do, they seem togo out the window straight away. what should i do? girls dont tend to take me seriously |

yes it does..to a certain extent..some will disagree but thats my view on it..a negative view of myself still holds me back, but im trying my best to fight it..the very fact that you view yourself as short fat and ugly is the part that worries me..distinct lack of confidance Quote: i know loads of techniques for pickup but i cant use em cos i cant talk to girls
try reading a bit more about inner game, theres loads on this forum..i think its more important than knowing a lot of lines and stories to tell

Overweightshort ugly If you are overweight, get in a gym and do something about it, dont make excuses short, thats sucks, but you arent the only short person, I am 5'8, what is that? 1 inch? not effecting me ugly? what do you dress like? do you dress ugly? or with style? I see from what I consider ugly guys with attractive girls. not effecting them Go do something about what you consider problems, try different things, see what works, what doesnt, just dont not do anything or you will always be short, fat, and ugly. I used to be short, skinny, and shy, now I am not as short, athletic build, and good looking, no longer shy. I worked hard to get where I am at and still working at it. I am 1 1/2 years into this, it wont happen in the short term. |

i cant dress well cos i havent got the money for new clothes. i dress ok, not particularly well but ok. i cant do anything about my looks. i know i can get fitter by going to the gym but i cant afford it. i tried exercising for a few weeks a while ago and i didnt shift a pound. i eat pretty healthy anyway, and the short thing isnt the biggest issue, but considering most girls i see are taller its kinda immasculating. but i dont know what to do guys, no girls ever express interest in me. i try a few techniques when i talk togirls but it just dont work right for me. im going to a fancy dress party this weekend, so i think i might try some stuff out then. maybe drunk girls will be easier to hit on. |

Check out Johnny Soporno. He would say that he isn't "classically attractive", but he still does PHENOMINALLY well with women. He IS tall, but he is overweight (at one point he was about 350, but now he's 250 or something I believe he said) and he doesn't have chiseled model looks or anything. Attractiveness is more in the personality than anything. |

Why dont you have money? No job? Not old enough to work? Do odd jobs, rake leaves, plow snow, pick weeds, trim hedges. That is what young people do and grown folks will happily pay you $20 bucks if you do a good job. Quote: i know i can get fitter by going to the gym but i cant afford it.
I used to go to a gym that was $10/month. C'mon man, dont make excuses. And you are right, no girl in their right mind is going to hit on a guy who thinks he is short, fat, and ugly. |

Quote: Check out Johnny Soporno.
Psh. Soporno looks fine. David X and Gunwitch (both respected successful gurus), on the other hand...Yeah they don't look too great. Girls don't take you seriously because of your social issues, not your looks. Don't go for the emo look. People might beat you up. Well, I might. Looks are too convenient of an excuse to fall back on. Quit being a pussy and face the REAL issues, like actually working through your social anxiety. As long as you have good hygiene, groom yourself decently, and possess a remotely cool style (even without peacocking), your looks shouldn't be a problem. |

im 18, and i had a job but work has dried up. and also, i need the money to get to college. i have £160 saved up but i wanted to buy a new guitar =/ and dont call me a pussy man, ive got issues, im sure you did too before you were a pua. theres a point when you go slightly beyond gotta cruel to be kind. and dude, the gym. i cant even go int a shop without getting socially anxious, how well am i gonna fare at the gym? what style would you suggest guys? many of the gurus ive seen have good style but i dont think itd workparticularly well on a larger frame. i could go for the look of that guy on david d's dvd. i cant remember his name but he wears a blazer over a shirt and like average faded jeans and good shoes. that shouldnt be too hard to pull off and the blazer will make me look slimmer i guess. |

your only as good as you think you are mate, a decent gym is no more than £5 a week, so its not that bad, U.K girls are different than american ones in my opinion, not better, not worse, just different, if u want to talk about anything give me a pm or something mate |

If you really can't stand to go to the gym and be around other people then buy yourself some dumbells and weights (and whatever other equipment you want) off a site like Craigslist or Ebay and work out in the comfort of your own home. It's very easy to find good workout routines online, just try a site like http://www.myfreetrainer.com |

Hes calling you a pussy because you have an excuse for everything. You want to lose weight, but you refuse to go to the gym or work out at home? C'mon, the gym is full of people just like you, theres like 80yr old ladies there too, you have no excuse. |

come on man its not an easy thing to do. i got social anxiety, so i cant just go out and do these things man. do you know how low my self esteem is? stuff like that, its frightening in a weird way. i went into a shop the other day had to queue up behind a semi attractive girl and my heart was racing from nerves. i dont know if youve ever been like that but it really is horrible man. |

Well how do you expect to get over social anxiety? By putting yourself out of your comfort zone. When I went to my first college party, I only knew one person who lived there. I had to go by myself, how nerve racking do you think that is, when you open up the door, you are by yourself, and everybody is like "who the fuck are you", they didnt say that, but thats what they were thinking. My buddy wasnt there for at least a half hour. I stayed, introduced myself, by shaking hand, stating who I was and asking if ____ lived here. Of course he did, they figured out I was his friend, and bam, social proof, because he is a cool guy, so they figure I must be cool if we are friends. I easily have over 30 friends in 2 months at school. But if I decided not to go to that party because my best friend didnt want to go with me, I would be sitting around every weekend doing nothing. Instead I am there, drinking, meeting girls, making new guy friends, and enjoying college everyday of my life. Comfort zones, step out of it. |
