| Post subject: | Advice approaching girl I see on the train sometimes |
There is a girl that gets on the same train to work as me sometimes and I often see her on other different trains that I happen to catch around London. Now we have breifly seen each other around from time to time but nothing more, but tonight she was sitting right in front of me so I tried to make eye contact. We clocked eyes a few times but didnt hold it and she was putting her hair behind her afterwards ears and touching her collar bone several times, and also touching in between where her v-neck jumper forms a v at the bottom...I picked up on this and was about to smile and she got off at her stop and 6-7 people jumped up and blocked my way. Now my question is....next time I see her I was thinking about laying down a line like "im glad I bumped into you, I saw you on the train the other night and was going to come and introduce myself but you jumped off before I got a chance" Pause.........Im Mike etc etc Would this type off approach work or is it not looking too promising? |

That line sounds like you're trying to explain and make an excuse about why you're talking to her. Why not go for a simple "Hey, haven't I seen you before?" "(whatever she says)" "Yeah, weren't you right across from me last (fill in day here)?" and open from there ?
