Post subject:  Progression from an opener to a routine

Once I've caught their attention, which for me is easy enough, how do I then make a smooth transition into a routine?
It just seems too scripted to start them off asking something like the pink/blue fluff question or the talk show question, then immediately go onto the cube right?

Hey Dude,
heres what I do, Say I'm in a line for macca's or something and there are some girls behind me and a friend, I turn around and ask "Hey weird question, but do you girls think my friend here looks gay?" and go with that opener, then after they give there opinion and the opener is over I normally just go with "So what are you girls up too" which they'll answer with "Not to much just seeing a movie" or something which will open them up to negs and the multiple thread theory which works a charm. Something like that works for me. Hope I helped! :D

Take a class in free writing, oral communications, marketing, drama, etc . . .

Figure out what makes a good story. Motifs, framing devices, irony, etc . . . The "gay" questionnaire as posted isn't so bad if the girls are drunk and you're in a club and everything is loud and all you do is go from a rhetorical question to another, to another, to another . . . .

There are great examples all over the place but the key is to create your own routines. A few great ones to make yours that you can pull off in you're sleep, when you're tired, drunk, while taking an exam, whatever. The best ones are the ones that transcend specific times, situations, cultures, and you can modify quite easily to match your set. Have fun . . .
