Ok, didn't really know where to place this thread. I won't be mad if it gets moved or something.

Anyway, say you are having a conversation with a woman over coffee or lunch or someting, and somewhere along the way, you eat/drink after her or she eats/drinks after you. She says, "My spit was on that, we've practically kissed now."

Now this is obviously a shit test. She's seeing if you'll blow it by saying something retarded and insecure to cover yourself. What are some good C&F (or any other style of) responses to something like this?

Sort of unrelated, using that same line is a good routine I've found, (not with the same woman of course) to make you look funny and quirky. BUT you can't be weird about it. You have to say it with complete confidence.

Perhaps I didn't describe the situation clearly enough. Reality is, I'm comfortable and confident enough with women, but sometimes you'll be enjoying yourself when -WHAM- something just catches you off guard. Like it did to me. And it totally WAS a shit test. The purpose of the shit test is to determine if the guy will show confidence or show insecurity. They don't call it a shit test, it's just a natural thing they do. In some cases it's probably a completely unconscious process. But I'm sure i dont need to be defining shit test for you. Giving the wrong response to the aforementioned would make you fail the test.

Given a different setting, I would have responded to such a comment by attempting to escalate and go for a kiss, but it was a busy public cafe. She was being flirty, but obviously sarcastic.

Just one of those things.

Quick follow-up question. This is similar to the one above. The girl mentioned above and currently in question is a coworker who I had gone with to the cafe during a break. We are friends and have a good rapport. We flirt and joke pretty much nonstop. Anyway, later on, back at work, we bump into each other and she asks me (sarcastically again, but possibly betraying deeper intentions) to be her boyfriend. I said, "No. I only love my stereo." Doesnt make much sense, but it was situational. There was a song playing on the house speakers that had a similar line. I got a good laugh from her out of it. The point is, if that had happened in another situation I wouldn't have been able to react and use the song lyrics. Are there any sort of generic, universal C&F repsonses to such a question that you guys have found useful?

Dude what she said can be taken many ways! How do you want to take it? Obviouslly you wan to eventually kiss her right, otherwise you would not be here. So yeah, say something back like, "Are your kisses the same?" or "Wow you totaly snuck a first kiss on the first date!" Depending on the timing you could make it a neg or a movement to kiss. You may have even been able to reach over and kiss her right then. "No, this is what a kiss is." Move in and plant one. C'mon man when a girl talks about kissing it is a good sign. They don't want to send mixed messages regarding kissing.

Okay, I definitely think she was flirting with you. You say it's a crowded cafe so I don't blame you for not wanting to kiss her right there and then. But she was def flirting with you and the bit about asking you to be her boyfriend later?? She's either throwing herself at you and wondering why you're not responding - why aren't you by the way? Or she's just got a really strange sense of humor. As for your original question I would have responded something to the effect of "Your spit huh? That sounds really romantic. Do you usually go out with camels?" You have to say it in a dry sarcastic sort of way. It's kind of a neg and you're rejecting her at the same time. It will drive her crazy and make her want to prove to you that she can kiss well - hopefully keeping her spit to herself.

Although it's strange, I've found that completely sarcastic references to diseases, especially sexually transmitted ones, work very well in amusing girls. If she ever says something more overtly sexual in nature, you can step it up a notch by saying, "I dunno, I just got over a scorching case of gonorrhea." I would also follow up either comment with a wink and mouth-click, just to give it that C/F twist that's so effective.

I agree, that or the ever so classic "Would you like to kiss me?"

You can't go wrong with that one, because if she says yes, obviously you just go ahead and kiss her. If she says no you Say: "Well I asked if you wanted to, I didn't say you could"

In these situations just think of how an HB10 would respond if YOU used this line. You want to be 'comfortable and confident', then you need to BE the 10 my friend

What's wrong with just saying 'you're weird' to them, no cheesy lines. Or even just completely ignoring it and carrying on
