Is it ever appropriate to neg an obstacle? Because I'm slightly confused about something... The PUA's always recommend befriending the group and to occasionally neg your target...ok, so...we'll assume that the group doesn't care and still enjoys your company. Would there be anything wrong with neg'ing an obstacle? Because I was just thinking, it may make you look more confident and require no one's approval, thus giving you a DHV. What do you think? |

Here is the thing about that. We neg the target to disarm the group from believing you are a potential suitor. This is the main purpose of a neg. The second purpose is to make the target believe she's done something to lower her social value, or make her wonder why her charms don't work on you. However, in the end the target you neg get the guy. The obstacles will never end up getting you, or have you showing interest back. The PUA's always recommend befriending the group and to occasionally neg your target...ok, so...we'll assume that the group doesn't care and still enjoys your company. If you want to look more confident work on your inner game and your body language. You negging her friend might be a DHV in your eyes but the group is going to see you not getting along with a few people in the group and you'll probably lose the set. The purpose again as you know is just to not get along with her. |

Good answear JSmooth! It actually opened my eyes for something I have done wrong. I have in fact been negging some of my obstacles when they have done or said stupid things. Thanks man, Ill definately be more careful with my negs in the future! Ezo |

Glad to help Ezo! Thanks for the "vote" of confidence buddy. Ezo Personally, I mostly use just disinterested body language, take aways, and false disqualifiers more than I do with actual negs. |

Youre welcome! Hmmm, maybe bodylanguage is the way to go. I always find it easier to run a larger set (3-6 people) since you can divide your attention between the obstacles and not give anybody too much attention... Ezo |
