I love what Neil says in his newest PUA book. Something along the lines of this:

I say this to myself whenever i start building anxiety:

Rejection is not failure, it’s feedback. Not approaching or giving up is failure.

I remember when I was in high school and just started to kind of come into my own. I took the shotgun approach pretty often and was fairly successful at it. I am trying to get back to that where I think of it just that way...but for whatever reason I am having a hard time.

I guess as we get older we learn more about rejection and that may make it harder. Any suggestions as to how to get past that anxiety?

Maybe when you were in high school you knew you had all this time to talk to girls. You had nothing to lose because if one girl shot you down you could just walk away and open the next girl you saw. However, now that you're older you feel the need to settle down with someone. So you're scared that if someone shoots you down you think "who can I turn to next." Just remember that you're the prize. Anyone would love to have you in their presence. Go out and enjoy yourself, and people will enjoy your company.
