Post subject:  "Sexy Brother"??? Confusing Mixed Signals
I'm confused by this girl and her intentions:

- She frequently tells me I'm hot, and that I have a nice butt and muscles.
- She eventually invited me to breakfast, essentially our first date, and once there, she asked if I was single. However, she said she wasn't trying to imply that she was hitting on me, just that she was living vicariously through my life.
- I became less responsive to her after that. Now, she texts me saying that she was bragging about me to her friends and that she wants to adopt me as her sexy little brother.

Is this some kind of incestuous friend zoning!?!? Has anyone been in a similar situation, and what's your analysis of it???

When a girl suggests you're like a "brother" it almost always suggests you're friend zoned. Invite her out this time and escalate.

Her inviting you out to breakfast seems like a very friends thing to do.

In addition to the sexual compliments, she's also sent me semi-nudes. What reason would a girl have for being so sexually explicit with a straight male that's just a friend?

Could she be that careless, and simply not consider how confusing and stressful that can be?
Could she just be cruel, and receive satisfaction from a male's sexual deprivation?

I'm not inclined to invite her out if she's going to be so confusing. Since we work in the same place, it'd be hard to cut ties with her, but I'm inclined to just not initiate conversation with her, and be less responsive in general. At this point, I'm just compelled to try to understand why she's acting like this.

You're the reason why she is calling you a little brother. She's out right calling you sexy and inviting you places but you are trying to play it safe because she's not being clear enough for you. Do you want to know what she's thinking? Make something happen and quit operating with a female mentality.

You're being toyed with, because you're affected by being toyed with. People only tease those that are easily offended. They're looking for the attention or the reaction. No one teases the guy with witty comebacks that doesn't give a shit what anyone has to say. You've become a game to her and thus she doesn't respect you like she could. And, a woman can not be attracted to any man that she does not respect. You can be good looking all you like, but true attraction comes from the inside then out for women. For us its the outside then in.

You guys wouldn't have half of these situations happen to you all if you would just get out the house and approach women regularly. You have that natural edge that guys who consistently step out of their comfort zones get. You can look as good as you want, or get girls here and there, but if you're not consistently pushing yourself out of your comfort zones your confidence and sense of self will be skin deep.

This is so true. Not only from a pick up point of view either. I have three brothers and I enjoy taking the piss and roasting them. One gets angry, annoyed and tries to throw personal insults back, the other two laugh it off and play along. Guess which one I carry on taking the piss of. Be like the other two, laugh it off and be the guy with witty comebacks, don't resort to being angry and throw personal insults. It'll make you look weak
