| Post subject: | MISSED OPPORTUNITY WITH HB 8-9 ! |
Here's my story. I've starting getting more involved in game, though not as much as I would like to. My problem is that when I miss an opportunity with a HOT GIRL, I dwell on it for hours after it happens, thus likely decreasing my chances of picking up another girl and also makes me feel like shit. The following happened earlier tonight. I go to a Grand Opening reception for this new store that is opening up. I see this HB 8 (EXTREMELY attractive) throughout the evening (over a period of 2 hours or so). I notice her BARELY glance my way over the night, though I see her look from the corner of my eyes a couple times. Sort of when you know that someone is looking at you. I have given her no notice/attention up until when I speak to her. She's about to leave and walks past me, carrying a basket that she is probably taking on her way out. I figure this is the perfect time to at least try opening or initiating contact with her. ME: Ahh, thats a really nice gift to be leaving with! (with a big smile) HER: Really... ya I really love it! ME: Cool... Yea I was going to buy this small cheese grater , but I left my money in the car.. (I know this sounds pretty cheeesy, but I really did leave my wallet in the car!) HER: I'll buy it for you .. .(FUCK, this caught me off guard and I was not expecting her to say this!!) ME: No thats cool, but thanks. HER: ARE YOU SURE? ME: Ya I'm sure. And then she walked off and LIKELY never to be seen again. So I was caught off guard with her response and I didn't react the way I should have, maybe because she was extra HOT!. By the looks of it, I could have very well number closed this girl as she defin conveyed openness and willingness to buy me a gift (SHE's INVESTING in the interaction) even though we only spoke for like 5-10 SECONDS (literally). What I should have done I think was the following. HER: I'll buy it for you. ME: I usually don't accept gifts from strangers, but I'll make an exception .. thanks HER: (MOST LIKELY WOULD have simply followed me to the kitchen area where the cheese grater was... it was like $2.99, so no big deal.) ME: (Not sure how I would have exactly said this, but after she purchased the item for me... something along the lines of) ... "Well thanks alot, that was kind of you, but you must let me return the favour. How about I buy you a coffee tomorrow night?" So guys how do I prevent myself from feeling like this, other than the obvious, don't let easy opportunities like this slip away. Its almost like a fukin one night ONE-ITIS. Is there anything you would change in my potential response? How can I prevent myself from having these thoughts? I know there are a million other girls out there, but I usually think to myself... "FUCK, why/how did you fuck that one up?.. you had it and she was fukin hott!" |

The best way to look at this is a learning experience. You messed up, so what. We've all done it. Just take what you can from the interaction and let it go, there will always be more. You say this is a constant problem for you... Well, I would suggest putting things out of your mind until you are alone and have time to think about them. Remember, a night that starts off poorly COULD end up being one of the best nights of your life! Don't let one poor interaction ruin other possible ones for you... As for your specific situation, I think that her buying it for you would have been an investment on her part, and I doubt she would have denied you a day 2. Either way, just learn from it and have something ready if it happens again... |

Exactly and stop dwelling on the past... shit happens, move on. I was thinking the same thing.. the fact that she was willing to buy me something within only meeting for 5-10 seconds, showed that I had a good chance for a Day 2. |
