Hi everybody, long time listener, first time caller. I'm getting the basics down, which has really helped me break things down to better understand what's going wrong and how to fix it. I seem to have come to an impass at this following point that I hope someone can shed some light on. I've never really had a problem on initially approaching and striking up a conversation, but there seems to be an invisible barrier between "Just a friendly conversation" and "This might be the start of some kind of relationship." I realize that this big fake wall is only really in my head, but I'm not sure how to knock it down. Is this a kind of approach anxiety in the way that I haven't really "approached" them as a potential sexual partner, or is it more of a fear of rejection that I'm using as some kind of safety net in case the barrier is broken? Or further still, is it some kind of internal feeling that I'm not reading correctly telling me that I haven't built up enough of a rapport with them and things aren't comfortable enough to take it beyond that point yet? Or is it something else entirely that I'm simply unable to pick up on? I hope I was able to express this clearly; any advice on where to start would be much appreciated. |

i'll try to help....but i'm a n00b still.... so ur asking on how to tell between friendly convo's and potential relationships? sounds like you just need to look for and pick up on IOIs |

I was sifting around the forum looking for that, but it seems that it's broken up as bits and pieces scattered through the posts. Is there a discussion or list of general IOIs anywhere? Or is dilated pupils, playing with hair, and leaning in all we have to go on? |
