Hey Guys,
Whats up all! Need a little help here if anyone has got some advice. Ill try to nutshell the story as much as possible. Basically, I failed to close tonight, because of something I said. I kinda see why it might be a big deal to her, but Im just wondering if its worth a recovery attempt?
So, Im at a concert, and I work my way into a 5 set. I start talking to one of the HB's of the group whilst ignoring my target. Several minutes pass, and my target, plus two others, walk away to go get something to drink. The HB that I was talking to says, "Hey, I saw you notice my friend (my target). I can tell you were attracted to her, I could just see it". So, Im like, umm...maybe...she was alright/decent looking. HB says, "you wanna meet her? Ill bring her back over here." Sweet! HB comes back about 10 mins later and introduces me to my target! Its going well, we are making small talk for a few minutes, and then I just get this notion in my mind, and I realize that I went to high school (5 years ago now) with this girl! So without thinking, I rattled that fact off, and we start talking more about our old hometown, how she is still living there, and how we know several of the same people...She just happened to be one class year ahead of me...and I dont know why, but I lied and claimed that I was in her same class year. We chatted for about a minute more after that, but this was definitely the turning point in the conversation, and it kinda tanked from there...we parted ways for the evening and that was it...
So heres my question....All Ive got right now is her myspace...do I even attempt to recover? Do I add her, send her a message, drop a neg, etc?
Or do you think its dead in the water?
