Quick Question, when I call a girl for the first time and Its an answering machine do I hang up try again later or leave a message? |

Personally, i dont elave messages, so what i would do is. "Hey its me, i dont leave messages, but i take calls, 555-5555 you know the number." Something like that. |

I dont leave answer messages either. I dont think you should leave a message on the first call, maybe on the second or third call and just leave it at that. |

Well I don't like leaving messages either, so what I have done in the past is this... call the first time (pick a good time, if you know she works 9-5, don't call her during the day.. maybe try her between 5:30 and 6:30, increases your likelihood of getting her live as opposed to voicemail) and if you DO get a voicemail, just hang up (especially if she doesn't already have YOUR number, ie. she never programmed it into her phone). Then try her again either the next day or the day after, and this time I think you're almost forced to leave a message, because if you don't you will be forced to call her a THIRD time which will come off as needy. Hope that she calls back and if she doesn't, well you just have to move on and not call her again. I personally don't think calling a 2nd time comes across as needy because you could have called the first time and been to busy to leave a message or just not wanted to, or whatever. I think it can be played off. However, if you were to leave a message on the first call, and then tried to call her again after that, this would definitely be perceived as needy and trying-to-hard. I think you obviously have more chance to move further with a girl if you get her live on the phone (she doesn't have the option to not return your call) and you can continue to game her. Of course if you built enough comfort/attraction etc. when you met her, then she should speak to you and/or return your call. Keep the message simple, I personally think the above response comes off as a little too cocky, but I could be wrong. If its your first time calling, you're going to have to say at least your name. Just let it flow naturally, but obviously don't sound nervous or needy or whatever. You're leaving a message for someone, just like you would for anyone else.. right? |
