"We Learn . .. 10% of what we read 20% of what we hear 30% of what we see 50% of what we see and hear 70% of what we discuss 80% of what we experience 95% of what we teach others." - William Glasser |

Thanks for asking that. I made a mistake thinking that this was self explanatory and as you point out there are people who may not get the gist of that. People on here are researching stuff and coming up with ideas. Even new guys. I'm encouraging them the share the stuff that they read and try out because it will help them learn it faster. I also wanted people to become aware that teaching others helps you learn something faster as well. So as to say you're not trying to always appear as a guru by sharing, but you are also participating in the learning process. So don't think you need massive amounts of experience and complete mastery of a skill to teach others. I believe that explains my intent. Is there anything else I'm missing or that you don't agree with? |

Quotes may be the worst way to make a point. |

I always viewed this self-improvement as part "homework" based and part "experience" based. Examples: 1 Reading something interesting you can use in a conversation (almost all homework) 2 Do some research how to dress better (50% homework 50% actually trying/buying) 3 Getting in better shape (lots of research at first to find right routine, then 95% trying things / actually doing it) 4 Breaking your anxiety to talk to strangers (20% homework, 80% actually doing it) ... and you'll get to use what you read about in example 1, too --- As a bonus, if you want to see if this stuff is actually improving your success with women, try to only change out one variable (like how you dress) and then go out and talk to at least 20, but maybe even 30 women. Do a comparison of before you change, and one after. Compare the results and then share it. |
