So we've all been in that situation when we meet up with an hb friend. When we first approach, should we hug them? Should we hug when we say goodbye? Should we play cat and string theory and act like THEY are the desperate ones trying to get a hug from me? What is everyone's take on this? Also, if hugging is going down, what is the best position to put ones arms. Over their shoulders, or under their arms, should it be fast, or slow, pat on the back "buddy-like" or long and gentle, seductively, etc. Thanks |

I always go over their shoulders and and greet/goodbye with a peck on the cheeks. |

i normally use hugging for calibration, to say goodbye, or an HB i've been gaming in the past when I see her again. but its never those everyday gay hugs. you gotta have your arms underneath hers and give her a pick up swing around hug. it usually catches them off guard and its really more entertaining than a normal boring hug. |

i appreciate the replies guys could anyone be more specific, such as, how long do you leave your hands, where should you put them, should you do it hard, soft, quick, longgggggggggg, etc.... i think this is a key action involved for dhv'ing yourself, because, if you look too desperate, obviously that's a turn off for girls. anyone have any ideas on c&f or etc things to say afterward, sometimes it's awkward, i want to avoid the, "hey how you been" or "alright, i'll hit you up later" routines that are so afc |

I like to hug, Arms below the shoulders. If she is an HB friend, flaunt it. Its preselection. When you hug, it makes you that touchy feely guy in a good way, girls feel secure, even if your just a friend, you can still protect them. Also, her friends see you as the guy who hugs so they tend to not get over protective or cock block when your gaming someone else. Also, everyone around you sees, that triggers the preselection switch and possibly also the jealousy switch which works in your favor. I say go for it. Dont be that way too long hugger. But more than a one split second hug. If she tries to pull away, that was a half a second too long. give it time to calaborate and you will know how long through doing it. |

Depends on how good of a friend they are! If you have feelings for them and they are a friend, I would recommend being cocky about the situation i.e.When we first approach, should we hug them?
