I run a small translation agency. the way it works is I get jobs and I assign them to freelance translators. this is a small business, i dont make that much from it, maybe 10k a year. there is this chinese girl that I have called 3 times so far. I have never seen her in person. The first time I called, the conversation was professional and neutral. the second time, I said "I think it's amazing that you speak chinese and english and german" and I asked her some simple questions in broken german like "hello, how are you? what are you doing?" she asked me where I am from and I told her and she said "I have a lot of friends who are from your country" that was the end of it, nothing sexual. now here is where it gets interesting. the third time I called, she said "your office is on ___ street? I live close to there. Do you want to grab coffee some time?" I said "sure, where do you live?" she said "I live on _____ street" I said "I pass by there every day on my way home." she said "where do you live?" I said I live on ____ street." Then she says "oh, we could meet there, and maybe we could go to your house after. hehehehehe" WTF? for those of you that say I should stop analyzing everything and start taking more action, I AM taking action. tomorrow I am going to dress nice and see her. But i am not sure what to make of this. does she want to meet because she thinks I could bring her more jobs? or she is attracted to my voice? WTF? edit: also, guys, do you have any tips or strategies? like should i forget coffee and meet at the bar? where should i meet, near my house, her house? |

Attracted to your voice, attracted to the fact you actually joked around and conversed with her, what does it matter? She suggested the meetup, go meet up. |

so I dressed really nice and met her at starbucks. it was so stupid. by the way she was dressed, I knew she was definitely not dressed to impress. the minute I saw her, I am thinking "her voice was much more attractive than her. I dont like her. But I will F her anyway" then we buy drinks (I paid for both of us) Then as soon as we start talking, she says "I met my husband in Germany and we moved here." I am thinking "husband? husband? WTF?" (and yes, based on the rest of the conversation, they are still together) We talked for over 2 hours. It was a very platonic meeting. I dont even know why she wanted to meet. She didnt ask me for jobs either. I really didn't understand the purpose of this meeting. |

Because she's a social person and the coincidence of you living nearby your coworker was intriguing? It's a little ridiculous that you actually expected this to end in sex because you talked on the phone with a woman you never met about twice. |

Sounds like the husband thing could or could not be a lie. Was there a ring? All we do know is, she just wasn't into you. And you caring enough to make a post about it is exactly why you don't have the women you want in your life yet. |
