Post subject:  Girls who act like their friends are protecting them

Came across this girl at a party. We seemed to hit it off. When I made advances towards getting her to move with me she then mentioned of how her friends were watching out for her and that they're very protective of her. Obviously, if she really wanted to go with me, I'm sure she'd have found a way. I could see her friends nearby each with one eye on her, so there was a certain amount of truth in what she was saying. She said "my friends are very protective over me... I don't know why that is?"

At this point, was there any point in me going down the road of trying to convince her she's old enough to be independent? or giving cliche lines like "you don't need their approval, I can see it in you that you know best"? Like she wouldn't have heard it before!

To try and make her think, I laughed & then said "I don't know if what you're saying is entirely true or not, but you surely know why that is by now?" I then thought, I may as well be brutally honest with her, & with a smile, told her "well maybe they think that some random guy might take advantage of you". She then laughed a bit, and I asked "has that been a bad experience in the past?" She wasn't really giving much away with this question, and shortly later said goodbye, giving me a kiss on the cheek. Perhaps I could've opened to her friend at this point, instead of just thinking "gee, what else could I say here?"

Know these situations?

I never had that happen but if I did I'd probably laugh, get up and walk away.

These situations are not normal. Why the hell would some girl have 2 guys acting like her pimps at a party? And most importantly why would I waste my time on that?

I've seen this happen not to me but to other dudes. It's typically when the girl has a habit of getting drunk and hooking up with dudes and regretting it.

I'd walk away if I had another crowd of women following me around. But getting back to reality, one can not give up that easily.

Guys? Who said they were guys? Don't jump to conclusions. It nearly goes without saying that her friends would be girls.

And the girl wasn't a complete stranger, to the extent that she could have been a hooker. It wasn't like that.

Sounds like an effort that could of been better put forth in a different direction, but the gift of gab can pretty much get you anything.

You could've convinced her to take risk a with you, taking a shot at something new that could potentially lead to new results. However, when someone is persuaded with lots of effort there is usually an attachment that follows that you won't want to deal with if you're just viewing the girl as a one night stand.
