Hello guys

I was thinking about reading some popular and classical Romance Novels. ANything from Fifty Shades of Grey to A Knight in Shining Armor.

The reason why I planned on doing this is to learn a bit more about what is it that makes them sell and popular. AS it is said that these romance novels are women's porn.

But I was wondering, if I run the risk of having my brain messed up from reading too much of this material and becoming some kind of extra confused male.

Serious question, thanks for considering.

What is your current sticking point?

How many girls do you approach?

What are your results?

Depends on which novel you read I guess. Some will be good others not. Its 50/50.

But in case your objective is to read something other than purely PUA material that could improve your skills in game then I would strongly recommend books on social interactions, human psychology, or other self development books. They are not purely PU related but still overlap largely and would be much more useful than any girly romance novel. As an example, books like "How to Make Friends and Influence People".

I'm very much a noob and have not been practicing at all. Been living inside of my head more than I should.

I am finishing Models by Mark Manson now, and I hope it will set me in a different mindset from now on.

Approach, Escalate more, etc.

I see, I already do that though, I never read fiction, I only read non fiction, that's why I was asking, since this is new territory for me.

Yeah, I was afraid this could be perceived this way. I still thought it could be an interesting discussion topic.

Ah. You're one of those "cover all grounds" guys. Lol. Just go out and talk to girls. Stop trying to perfect everything before even trying. The more invested you get before doing your first approach, the more pressure you're putting on it, and the harder it will be. When I first discovered this stuff, I had already approached girls... but it was suddenly fucking hard because I spent so long reading/watching how to improve on it, that it became this huge obstacle for me.

Trust me, get it over with. You will feel fucking AMAZING.

I read 50 shades of grey. In my opinion, it's primarily useful for helping you destroy any lingering purity fantasy you might have about women. Knowing the attractive masculine traits, I can easily pick them out in the male lead's character, but if you don't know them before you read it, it won't be as obvious.

If you want to understand why romance novels are popular to women, try reading "Dangerous Men and Adventurous Women." It covers that exact topic from an academic point of view.

I've read pretty much all the major authors regarding pick-up material. Models by Mark Manson is decent, but it's not the best. As far as actionable advice goes (keep in mind I only do daygame, no nightgame), the best is anything by Nick Krauser (start with "Beginner Daygame," then "Daygame Nitro" and finally move up to "Daygame Mastery") or Tom Torero. For inner game, try Primal Seduction by Steve Jabba.

That's definitely me, I have definitely approached women before, but mostly foreigners who are on vacation near where I live. I do suffer from some approach anxiety if people are too close to my regular social environment.

I will need to practice more!

Thanks for this. I will definitely add these to my list of books to read.

But I may be too busy approaching!! (Wishful Thinking)

Women LOVE literotica. It's like their porn.

It's not going to "make or break your game" reading it but it's definitely not a bad idea to see sex from a woman's point of view.

I wouldn't suggest reading the mainstream books but rather go online and look for stories written by real women. It will show you what women like in bed.

Tom Torero knows his shit. Not quite as good as Nick Krauser, but definitely worth reading. Models is decent but it's light on actionable advice. I see it more as an inner game book, which won't help beginners as much. They need to learn specific things to do and not do starting out.

I'm aware, poor decision? yes. but it doesn't mean he doesn't know what he's talking about.

If he knew what he was talking about he wouldnt have to fake results. He'd just get a kiss close if he knew how to get a kiss close.
