| Post subject: | Is this an IOD or otherwise |
Hi, I've been chatting to this girl I met on Tinder. 8/10 looks etc... I've been running some game but she can be a bit fiesty. I set a date for us to go out for a hot chocolate (which I have been leading up to), and mentioned: "Friday is good......And if you behave really well or look super good, I may even buy you that hot chocolate! She replied: "OK "I dont like hot chocolate" Now we had been talking about this for a while and all of a sudden this. I had mentioned chocolate before and she gave no disinterest. She is a nutritionist as well. IOD? How do I handle it? Thanks, Alex |

BE NORMAL her- 'I don't like hot chocolate' you- 'We will figure something out, let's meet at x place at x time' So Alex, Mr one post. Now that you got some advice. Will you be contributing to the forum or will you disappear now that you got your answer? |

No, no IOD intended. Just a non committal response as I'm not online much. As I said, I appreciate your answer. |

You're overthinking, and over invested in a chick that it appears you haven't even met yet. Slow down. You keep this attitude up and you'll be talking yourself out of the date before it happens. This is one of the reasons flakes are so common. You let the girl saying she doesn't like chocolate after saying "ok" with a smiley face push you into making a forum post to ask for help? Come on man. When a girl says something you don't like, just don't reply. Let her reinitiate. If the conversation was solid prior they often will. They'll start to question whether or not they said something stupid and send you another message to make sure they still have a shot. Don't bail her out, let her come to you. |

Not sure whether you realized or not, I was re-iterating OP's conversation, showing him what an "IOD" looks like. That's not actually real.
She wanted to see where the date would go without feeling like a "slut" I presume. You made her feel uncomfortable with your text. Your text is OK but it had more to do with the lady than you, see? There was a better way to handle this. Alternatively, not sure what kind of women you screen for. Perhaps you like affairs, but moving right along; Quote: When a girl says something you don't like, just don't reply.
I would just like to remind you that "in-action" is still action. What does doing this hope to achieve? I get the idea but I worry that people err on the side of misapplied "freeze-outs" already. Lack of participation in "BS" is a fine decision to make when appropriate, as you insinuate. But sometimes (and a lot of the time) a good conversation or sentence at the right time can make all the difference, too. Let's not forget that, please. Because we always do. |

It wasn't the hot chocolate. It was you sounding like her grandma. She replied: "OK "I dont like hot chocolate" How do I handle it? Just redirect and don't talk to her like she's a stroke victim or a 4 year old. |

How did I misread that? Oops. I didn't notice that you wrote that actually, RC. I still think the OP can benefit from the post if it is a re-iteration, anyway. |
