| Post subject: | How to alleviate a fear based mind? |
Long story short, I went through some fucked up shit as a kid, and it has trained me to have a mind that operates on a fear basis. For example, many people say to me, "what's the big deal, just don't care and go open". It's not that easy with me. I cannot approach any situation without instantly thinking about everything that could go wrong first, and having a back up plan for every situation. Obviously this can never work considering picking up girls, and it does not. This is really my main and constant struggle. Even with girls that are into me, I am always second guessing myself, always doubting, always overlooking obvious signals because my mind assumes no, it could not possibly be that a girl will like me, and I am not prepared for it if she is. I once saw a post on here that said something about reprogramming your mind. I am thinking that might be the only way for me to really take my game to the next level. It's just something that I do instinctively, before my intellectual mind grasps hold of what I am doing, that keeps me from succeeding with women. If anyone knows of any ways I can stop my mind from operating on a fear basis I would really appreciate it. |

Repetition until you're no longer intimidated by outcomes. I don't know how else you'd do it. This is how any guy gets past AA - just play through the pain until there isn't any more pain. Sounds simpler than it is. And yeah, you're going to get embarrassed a few times... It's good for you, though. |

Your intellectual mind doesn't impede you from succeeding. Your resistance to change and not stepping out of your comfort zone does. Everything you say is an excuse to not take action. Yes it's easier for some and harder for others. That's how life works. So either pay your dues or remain average. Ultimately that's what it comes down to. The choice is simple. |

This isn't a unique situation, most people think they have a special circumstance that determines their failures. Just because I control my AA better than some, doesn't mean I don't have anxiety and feel awkward. It's more about drive, motivation and potential rewards for me. We are the same. I've earned my reps and kinda enjoy it now. I'm willing to bet you have only approached under 100 women total in your time? (Please be honest) Try 5000+ and see if this thread will get made... |
