Post subject:  Not sure how to react to other guys
Lately been getting a lot of heat of my friends (insults) seems to be singling me out at times. I sometimes have insults for them but I never say them because I feel like think will escalate and become more personal and we'll fall out however at the same time I feel they seem as weak for not responding. On the third note, if I insult them and "win" I feel like they'll harbour their emotions until I'm at a weaker pint and pounce again

I "insult" my best friends all the times. Actually I "insult" everyone I like, but it's always done in a highly playful manner.

"You're a fucking moron" and "You're a fucking moron" can mean two entirely different things, based on what the intentions behind the words are.

You need to figure out whether these people are putting you down or busting your balls. The second is completely natural and the way guys bond. The first is something you need to eliminate from your life.

Thank you r.c you understand what I'm getting at. Sometimes I think they're been dicks for no reason but this is why they single me out more often cause I don't say anything back, you know like sharks can smell blood in the water sort of thing.

I just don't want to start escalating things and t getting too personal

Could be banter. But if they make you feel bad then perhaps consider talking to them about it. If they don't compromise, dissolve them from your life.

I am not ashamed to admit that my best friends are pick up dudes. Osmosis is so powerful. Love being surrounded be other similar people that constantly want to improve and don't cock block you as soon as they see a girl into you.

In this context I don't think these guys are actually your friends, because you're afraid to speak your mind in fear that you won't have friends anymore. Thats not a friend. You dish it out, you gotta be able to take it.

Also you could just be a bit overly sensitive, and keep too personal with your retorts, because you were so hurt by whats been said to you.

I'm more concerned on setting boundaries not just my close friends just people in general, like when's jokes gone too far. I really think in life people will pick on the weakest of you don't stand stand up for yourself, old young male or female if you don't stand up for yourself you'll get targeted. I'm making it sound a lot worse than it but I would more concentrated on setting boundaries and people showing me up.
