Just recently I sort of understood what the phrase meant...well, maybe PARTLY understood.

I think it basically means being secure with what you are. Which is, of course, a big essential to building confidence.

But still...I must ask your take. Just what does this elusive phrase mean? And how effective is it at getting game?

Thanks!

Regards,
Lonious

Rant: Whenever guys ask women for dating advice (big mistake - they're experts at being women, but not seducing women) the women usually say "just be yourself" which, unless given to a guy who is perfectly comfortable in his own skin, isn't the best advice - guys hear "Be exactly how you are and don't change at all, or else you're just living a lie. Don't better yourself, stay how you are" for some reason.

"Be yourself" usually results in a guy stupidly thinking he can just let go and call her 100 times per day, because that's "who he is" lol.

It's ok as a goal, to be yourself.

I find a lot of guys don't like the thought of pick up, because they think it'll stop them being themselves... like they're getting any kind of satisfaction from being themselves in the first place.

I think better advice would be: Become somebody worth being, and then be yourself.

Daniels has it quite right.

Being yourself means not trying to be something you're not. I know, sounds obvious, but how many times do you not see guys literally watering around. You know how water takes the form of the recipient you put it in?
That's what these guys do. They have no identity. They'll like what she likes, dislike what she dislikes and have no opinion of their own. No preference, no strength of character.

So being yourself means that when you're over the mental age of 15 you should have some sort of idea of who you are, what you stand for and what your views and values are. So embrace that.
Think of it as the foundation of your true self. Build around it everyday. Tear down and rebuild when you do it wrong. Point is, constantly improve. But build around who you are, not around what you think she wants you to be. Nobody likes a social cameleon.

Never heard of a more ridiculous phrase or advice for a begginer.

Of course you're being yourself thats why you get no results.

It should be "Be your best self"

Which means

Master the Art of Seduction
Master the Art of Good Health
Master the Art of Positive Living

And they all compliment eachother, which means if you're lacking in any area it will affect your other areas.

But if you have all 3 worked out in your head then you should have access to tons of pussy.

Don't sugar coat shit. (Because you don't care what people think.)

Don't try to impress anyone. (Because you don't need anyone.)

Say whats on your mind. (Because you don't care if you offend people.)

That's how you "be yourself."

Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.

Are you asking who you are?

IDK, that's taking it a little extreme, i agree with "dont try to impress"
but I cant agree with the other 2. you mean I can tell a girl she is fat because that's whats on my mind?

Why would you say something to DELIBERATELY OFFEND someone that has no other purpose? Don't be stupid.
