I have a friend who is always in competition with me.. When ever we go out to eat or workout or go clubbing, he always brings up a secret competition that is going on. Example " I ate more than you"
"I lift more than you" " I dance with more girls than you" I would just ignore it because I didn't give a shit until I was gaming this girl and was trying to get her to go to the club with me..he walks up and says " I dance with 4 girls that night and he only dance with 2 who do you think had more fun" I played it off and said i'm really picky about who I dance with they have to have a certain shape kinda like yours. It's like hes trying to make me look bad in front of others. I also found out hes trying to compete with me for money. we work together and my boss called me into his office and told me I shouldn't discuss how much I make because my friend is asking for the same amount now and he has told all the other co-workers I make that much. I didn't mind when it was little things only he cared about now it's getting a little personal. How should I handle this ? I have told him multiple times I don't care or didn't know it was a competition but he still continues and I don't know why...

You sure he is your friend? A friend wouldn't constantly try to out-do you. Friends try to uplift each other. Sure you can bust on each other's balls every now and then, but to do it consistently and not in a joking manner but seriously trying to outmatch each other is not healthy. Don't qualify yourself to him and just ignore him.
