Post subject:  Where to live?

I am 34, and I've only had long-term relationships in the last 10 or 15 years. The last one being 5 years and ending in December. I've read The Game but never actually tried going out to night clubs and applying the techniques.... ...mostly because I don't have anyone to wing with.

I am starting to think that I need a change of pace..... to move to a different city.

CURRENTLY:
I am thinking that San Antonio, TX is not a great city for me, because:
(A) I am single. (I hear people say SA is more of a family city... makes me wonder if I am missing out on good singles-oriented cities.)
(B) I am physically fit. (seems like there are a lot of obese people here!)
(C) I am caucasian. (there are only 25% caucasians here according to city-data.com. My 5-years ex-gf, who was Mexican, said part of our problem was different cultural values... ... which I didn't totally disagree with.... and which got me thinking about this.)

So.... I've been looking at other cities such as.....
.Seattle
.Portland, Oregon
.Austin, TX (although I feel like maybe this is too easy of an option, only being 90 min away from where i live now)
.Colorado Springs, Colorado
.Boulder, Colorado
.Salt Lake City, Utah (except I'm not mormon)
.somewhere in California? (exceptionally high cost of living though..)

Questions:
Do you think LARGER, metropolitan cities would be better?
More night clubs? More bars?
More places to practice PUA techniques without bumping into the same girls?
Any cities known to be good for PUA?

Downsides:
I would be moving away from family.
I'd have to quit my job (software developer), which is actually a pretty good job.

No New York City on the list?

Come on..

Forget a wing for right now man. You'll find a wing as you start to go out. Walk up to a dude and say " Best of 3 rock paper scissors. Loser buys the first round of drinks."

You make friends through challenge. Cool guys never turn down a challenge. I wrote an entire piece to going out alone.. " The Players Guide to Going Out Alone"

NY would be a great place. I was actually reading some articles on this today. I agree, SA is pretty tough. It is def family oriented. Most of the popular public places you go are littered with families, which makes approach well... not impossible, but awk.

After viewing match profiles for a while, the vast majority of attractive single women are in Austin. Most attractive women here are divorced with kids (nothing wrong with that) - it's an ocean of pussy waiting to be tapped.

The best thing to do in SA is frequent places near the universities if you're looking to hookup. All depends on your goals.

I would caution you leaving your job as the economy is pretty bad right now. And let's be real, you should keep yourself stable before chasing tail. Y not just go to Austin on the weekends? I am actually planning on going there soon. I've been here 5 yrs and have been almost everywhere you can go... twice. If you want PM me contact info and maybe we can go there together.

I read several articles but yea... we suck:

Move to Austin!!

I came here early June to work with a student and STAYED. Austin is ripe for pick up. Perfect blend of bars and clubs. There's also different regions of the city to practice different types of game based on girls or where you are at in your game journey...

There's West 6th for the verbal game, Dirty 6th for rapid escalation, East 6th to practice a more casual style game.

It's such a great blend. Plus in Austin, you'll still be close to your family but far enough where you only have to see them on special occasions and may be able to work something out regarding your job. The internet marketing industry is huge out here if you're into that at all.

I've lived in both SoCal and NorCal. Both expensive. Problem with NorCal... Only game-able Thurs-Sun (ghost town any other day of the week) and very expensive. Problem with SoCal... Driving EVERYWHERE and some clubs are annoying with guestlists and access.

Most of the other cities on your list seem terrible for game... Boulder, Colorado Springs, and Salt Lake would have a very limited pool to game.

My mentor learned the game in Austin. I am now a coach and am having an especially fruitful experience in this city. NY is an awesome city but is also expensive and cold 4+ months of the year.

Come to Austin!
