on youtube there are a lot of guys that do "social experiments" some of them will go to a girl and say a clever (or maybe not so clever) line like "hey, are you my homework? because I want to do you" and then the girl says "that's funny" or whatever and the guy says "can I have your number?" and the girl gives it to him. assuming these are real people and not actors, do these quick numbers ever lead anywhere? I would think most of the numbers are fake or the girl never picks up or she picks up but doesnt remember the guy and hangs up. But I guess if the girl found the guy physically attractive she would remember him even though the interaction was short. do these quick numbers ever get anywhere? |

I wouldn't recommend going for these quick numbers. Your numbers will be more solid when you build up more of a connection, get investment from her, and set up a date and time to meet up right there and then. |

Only if she thinks you're super hot and you hit her up immediately thereafter. Something that I think slowly sank into the community understanding is that phone numbers are essentially worthless, within and of themselves. If she's into you, the phone number gives you a bridge to get her to see you again in person. But if she's not already interested in you, that phone number is not going to lead much of anywhere, in the vast majority of cases. Can it ever lead somewhere? Yeah, probably. If you literally sat down and texted random numbers in your area code, you could probably eventually get a date. But that doesn't seem very productive. I don't know where you live, but I don't even have an area where there are so many attractive women, it would make sense to go grab phone number after phone number with no real interaction, even if they were %10 as solid as a good interaction. |

Some do and some don't man. Its like anything else in life. I've got quick numbers from girls that I called the same day and got hung up on. And quick numbers that i called a week later had ended up in a relationship. This is one reason I always call and not text the first time around. I will only text after the emotional connection is established, and that can easy be taken care of in a 20-30 minute phone call. Then you're not actually wondering what to text, because you'll know based on the girls vibe. Its all about what you do with it bro. Its not the whats in life, its the HOW. So HOW are YOU going to handle your quick numbers? |

If your text game is strong (and you don't just think it is), you can generate some interest through text, but it is far, far, far better to do it in person usually. Numbers don't mean anything and even if you did impress her enough with a witty opener, it doesn't mean she's going to respond or you're going to meet with her again. It's certainly possible to spike her interest and grab her number - hell, I once did it just by walking by dressed really well with a huge group of people (wedding party) and handing a girl my phone. Doesn't mean anything. Always work on getting the girl invested in you first. |
