How outdated is "The Game"/"The Rules of the Game"? and why?

I read The Game. It isn't outdated in the sense of what it can teach you. It is definitely worth a read. All the techniques that were hot back then, still work to this day. Some people have just made those techniques their own and tweaked it a bit and others have built on it, adding more layers to make the game smoother. Same seduction rules apply.

I don't think there's anything to learn from the game, really...

Rules of The Game sounds good, though.

Models - mark Manson

That's the go to book now. The game is a story. Models is a realistic timeline of what to to expect and and the bullshit is reduced

Read it like you would a harry potter book. To read it for the story and to enjoy it. Although I wouldn't go putting it into practice, just like you wouldn't go jumping off your roof top with a broom stick after harry potter. And not that there isn't anything to learn within it, there are just better options.

You'll probably learn more about women from hanging out with your sister for a few days.

The only educational thing I can even remember from The Game, was the part about wrongly using a neg lol.

(although I take the piss out of negs and routines a lot, I do believe that there's a right and wrong way, and I consider them to be powerful if used in the right way, and not as your "default gaming setting")
