| Post subject: | Which one??? |
Others have told me that I am "too nice"... I feel like I am a person who puts others first. I'm always thinking what others think about something I do or say. Friends have told me that I'm too nice when it comes to meeting talking to girls anything with them. I also feel as if I can be a nice guy at first then when I get to know a girl I'll become the dick. Shouldn't it be the opposite way around? What ways should I act or things should I do to not come off as "too nice"? Or to much of a soft pushover? |

u actually do not need to care so much about others in this way. if u feel like that, means that you do not have so much confidence, i remember back in the days when i was like that too...but felt a the same time that i was giving too much importance to others then me, you just need to be more 'careless' and a bit more egoist sometimes...and then what you mean for 'nice'? that you look like a pussy? just try to be masculine and eliminate all the feminine behaving around you... |

I'm an extremely nice guy. Although, I ALWAYS put myself first. I'm the most important thing in my life and I believe it will remain that way unless I have children. And maybe even then. Putting others before you subconsciously says that you value others more than you value yourself. That they are more important to life than you are. Now i will make sacrifices and share with others. Like I'll share my food with a friend who doesn't have money, but Im not giving him the whole plate. I won't starve so someone else can eat, but I will share a portion of what I have with a friend so they won't starve. And even then.. This is not something they can make a habit out of. They're going to have to get it together eventually. In life people are going to test your boundaries, both emotionally, physically, and spiritually. And a NICE GUY says nothing when his boundaries are crossed. He just takes it on the chin. The guy you want to be is the guy who speaks up. Who's willing to stand up for himself. I'm nice, so long as my boundaries aren't crossed. And i've found that the more respect someone gets the more boundaries they usually have. |

Pretty much what Eddie said. He describes being a good guy as opposed to the typical nice guy. Which is the way to go. |

You're just trying to always appease others because you're insecure as hell. Then you push her away because you're afraid of commitment.
