I'm searching for good books not inherently about pick up but that could be applied to it. Specifically about taking risks and going outside your comfort zone. I've identified i have trouble taking the first step, whether its with a girl or with my education/career, which is why I want a more general book about taking risks and conquering fear of the unknown and dealing with the regret that comes from not taking action.

edit: is the Power of Now a good one? I was searching for some and that seemed highly recommended

Look up inner game books. That is what you are looking for. Put it in the search bar...off the top of my head...the art of war is pretty cool.

I'm weary of recommending books I haven't read myself, but a lot of PUAs recommend "Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway" by Susan Jeffers, Ph.D.

Let me know how it is if you ever get the chance to read that.

And, yes, Power of Now is also a highly recommended book in the pickup community.

i just read some of the reviews for feel the fear and it looks like that might be what I start next. I've been looking for stuff to help with my mild anxiety, lot of reviewers are mentioned the book helped that.
