Post subject:  Sending an Ex a bday card?

I have done a couple of other posts on the ex, she ended with me. Was LDR. Tried getting her back. Failed.

Anyway, she wanted to be friends still, I went no contact the last four weeks, got chatting to her on saturday, was mega bored and usually see her saturdays. We had a phone conver, i later text her today seeing if she wanted to hang out, she said no. Shouldn't have i know. The conversation on saturday just brought up so many memories and we laughed loads.

She's the type of girl I would marry, but she couldnt do the long distance, tbf, the last year i hate my job, put on weight, was grumpy as shit, dont blame her.

It seems like i got the worst deal, but since have been working out a ton. Lost 8kg on weight. Quit my job, feeling great. I'm now going away for 6 months.

Anyway, its her birthday soon. We had a great year together, I am getting over her slowly, we live so far apart. Do i send her a funny card?, should i send her a card, then make it impossible for her to thank me for it to create some kind of mystery? so in six months time if she sees me im fit, trim, looking great, and looked as if iv moved on loads?

Should i just leave it?

Shes at college, 1.4 years to go, so after i would like it to be a possibility. I'm going away for 6 months and plan on doing what i want, but shes a lovely girl.

Thoughts?

So really you've learned nothing then?

A lot of smart guys gave you a lot of good advice there. You admitted you backslid and you should have taken that advice and it was a mistake... Yet here you are looking to do it all over again.

I want you to do well and succeed, man. But you make it really hard to help you. At some point the contributors here will stop giving you advice.

I know i shouldnt and went so long without contacting her. then she spoke to me so i called her and we just had such a laugh on the phone. Its like she deliberatly gave me some kind of hope. im learning the hard way trust me.

Lol this is unbelievable.

Send her the card bro.

Learn the hard way... Don't even ask for advice.. Just do whatever YOU think is best. See how it works out.

Moment of madness. I decided not to. I'm accepting that its over which is hard as the thoughts that run through your mind on how you think everything is ok. She was chocolate ice cream.

Iv decided to look for a nice strawberry ice cream. The chocolates all gone.
