PUA Forum :: Need ideas on where to go practice my game.

So I'm been trying to practice my game a bit.

The biggest issue is actually finding places to get practice. I live in Omaha and outside of bars most of the places I go lack people or have women paired up with their dates.

Any useful suggestions would help out a lot.

I've never had a "reason" for going to a park, other than feeling like going for a walk. Aside from hauling their kids there, or taking a dog for a walk, neither does anyone else.

I see people reading, walking around, biking, everything.

I meant it as it looks odd if there's a walking path in a park and you're standing in the middle of it starting conversations with every girl that walks by.

Ok so I have been going out more and more. On the positive side I'm trying to be more social. Mostly by starting conversations with anyone. And I'm starting to get the hang of it. As for the places some of you mentioned here's where I'm noticing some issues with myself.

1. Coffee Shops: I'm noticing the women there are glued to their laptops, iDevices or whatever. I'm not looking for a canned routines but any ideas to how best approach?

Speaking of that I'm 35 and I see that some of the demographic there is in there 20s. I have this weird image of being pervy if I attempted to approach. This is something I'm going to need advice on as well.

2. Bars: I have mixed feeling on this. I think it's a great place to get easy practice. I just don't want to rely on it as being the only place. I'm noticing that I run into a lot of trouble approaching groups. Especially as most girls are in groups.

3. As far as parks go I'll give it a shot.

Few other things to add I decided to take some fitness classes as well. So there's a good place to practice post workout. I've also been tooling around on group trying to find things to do as well and expand my interests. Even if I don't get any good approaches I'm building value.

Lastly I still want to mess with online dating some more. But I want to do it right which means it's going to take time (want to get excellent pics, writing a good profile and so on). That I think that's still down the road.

It should become part of you. Some of best pickups I think I did were not at night but at the gas station, in the car at a red light, in the grocery, some place a friend talked me into going, or places I just happen to be. There is always online as well. Granted bars, malls, and night clubs can offer more targets in an environment to practice on but really you can do it anywhere. In some cases if you aren't in a major city it may help to travel a few hours when you can. Obviously the more approaches and set you do the better you start doing. It definitely takes practice.

Anytime you see a girl you want to hit on, do it. Coffee joints Supermarkets The Park Buffets Just go out and do shit. Women like to do shit too; you'll find them.

Busy shopping centers, mall, coffee shop, arcade, bars, park (might look odd if you don't have a reason to be there). If you have a dog, find a local dog park. It's super easy to start up conversations with cute girls because you don't feel awkward approaching since you already know that you both have a common interest and own a dog. Just anywhere. If you are looking around and don't see girls to hit on, it's cause you're in your head too much.

I've seen guys get banned (on youtube videos) but it's always a case of they have talked to a dozen girls at the mall that day, usually many in one store, and the girls felt harassed and they got numerous complaints so the guy got kicked. If you walk in to a store and talk to one girl, then go in another and hit on one girl, you're not gonna get booted, especially if all your doing is saying "hi my name is". If you were being really pushy and asking the girl to go home with you, that's a different story.

You always get a warning first I would think, so if you get a warning, just stop. Although i've never actually been confronted by security for doing this. I'm pretty cool and casual about it. I'm humble in the women spots because i know I'm not suppose to be there. I'll open with something like " Hey, are you really going to buy that? " - The girl is instantly open to receiving whatever it is you have to say after that. It creates emotion instantly. Just try it and come back here and let me know how it works out for you.

If you don't yet feel comfortable approaching in general, and you're not yet comfortable approaching 20somethings, I would not suggest you combine those two things, just yet. That said, you can certainly get women in their early 20s at 35. I'm 29 and my current FWBs are both 20. And Hellhound(a regular around here) is 45 and had an 18 year old girl, last I knew. It is possible, though not %100 of women in that age want to date mid-30s, most of them are completely fine with it. One thing that may interest you is this thread. It's not a big deal to most people. Especially when you're open to older women, you just happen to date mostly younger ones. It's only considered "creepy" when you're basically obsessed with barely legal girls.

Most girls are glued either to their laptops or cellphones anywhere you go. Bar are kinda terrible, its noisy and crowded, difficult to have a conversation, plus there is always the issue of the ugly friend who will try and cock block you. I would try book stores as well, just don't approach women who are in the self help section of the store, because they are probably crazy. Clothing store are hit or miss, I’ve tried this line "I'm a cross dresser, what do you think would look best on me?"
