Post subject:  what is this mechanic?
I did something so simple the other day and it worked so well, I want to understand it more.

There is this short girl I work with, shes probably a 9 but she's just not my type, and she asked me to get something from the top shelf for her. I got it, and slowly brought it down, making her reach for it. Just before she was about to grab it, I pulled it out of her reach, and she went FUCKING CRAZY on me.

I mean like, she was all frustrated, but she was laughing about it too, and the effect it had on her was just... perfect.

So what was this? What did I do that worked so well? Is there a name for it? And are there other things I can do that are like this?

Ok... ok. Please, help me out here, because I think this is the first time I got it nearly perfectly enough to understand it.

1. Spot a flaw
2. Make it seem cute
3. Don't keep making fun of it

Sounds like the physical version of the cat string theory to me...

Cats only want the string when its slightly out of reach.. ya know?

This is a small thing to a giant bro. And you're grossly overthinking, trying to recreate this moment again. Live in the moment and have fun with girls. You're responding to women in the moment, not calculating every move before hand so you can get them to respond how you wish. Thats how you miss the obvious windows that present you to escalate. Thinking too much, instead of being patient and waiting for you opening to move things forward.

Well thank you, but it seems like you don't get I am no "giant" at this yet. I cant just recreate these moments on a whim like pros can. I don't even understand what pros are doing. Its like asking a kid to just recreate the large hadron collider.

Every time I do "just respond in the moment" I fail. Whatever it is that is coming natural to me, is not working. The only success I am having is in canned stuff. I bet you have been good for so long you have forgotten what its like to struggle, especially as much as I do, cause I don't even have normal social skills.

Forgive me for not being used to success, this is the first time I have succeeded so well and I am not used to considering it. About 99% of the time I fail when just responding to the moment, if you really must pick at that. Most of my coworkers are fairly dubious of me, even this chick, because I am so used to failing at social interactions, in the moment. I am telling you, honestly, the only thing that has worked for me is canned stuff.

Well she's awfully cute, but like, when I look for girls I always say to myself, "if I banged this chick and she accidentally got pregnant would I want the kids?" And for her its no, so its like, I wouldnt want to risk it with her. It takes 5 points out of my rating. She's too short, and Mexican.


I probably would be lucky to get with her but I can't really look past this kind of stuff. My type is more average height white and asian girls. In fact there is this girl I know at a salsa club who is probably more of a 7 who I would prefer because she is more my type. Oh well, this chick probably makes good practice.

If you want up your social interactions, read How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. That will help you be more naturally social.

Once you have basic human interaction down, then move on to learning about being a man. If the concepts of playfulness building attraction then you have a ways to go.

Keep at it, amazing things are ahead.
