Well as time goes on, my ladies start venting to me and seeking me out to reassure them. I don't do it intentionally, but if I like the girl enough, I will lend a listening ear. I just don't know when I am doing too much or getting too involved. For example, one of my main girls struggles with mood swings, she has adhd, possibly diagnosed with depression months ago. But she has been struggling with life. She also has two kids. Now, one of my strengths is taking care of things. By that I mean, give me a dog, or a cat, or even a child. I will probably research how to take care of it/or him. I have ADHD, and when I focus, I can REALLY focus. Which is what is happening here. I noticed she has started taking up bad habits, such as starting to smoke again and last night I found an empty bottle of bupropion which she ran out 2 months ago. Bupropion supresses depression and helps a person stop smoking..... I like her, but she isn't my long term as I have other multiple relationships going on as well... any advice here? |

Advice regarding what? It's alright to be a decent human being from time to time. Perceptive people are usually the best to talk to since they can detect your problems without you having to admit them out loud. She's probably lucky to have you around, but again, she doesn't have to be a LTR prospect for you to be a decent human being. |

Its a slippery thing you're on. From my experience, women aren't like guys in the way that if you help them out they'll love you and respect you forever no matter what happens after that. Guys keep a tab. Women are more so creatures of the moment. Chris Rock made a very truthful joke in the movie take 5.. He goes " When you date a girl if it doesn't end in marriage to her it was a waste of time. It doesn't matter if you've paid all her bills, helped her get her GED, or if you taught her how to read. If it doesn't end in marriage she'll always see it as a waste of time" And i've found that to be very true. All the good shit you've done for a girl gets tossed once shit goes wrong. I have guy friends they have done fucked up shit, and even though I don't hang with them anymore if they ever really needed me I'd be there for em. Just because of the history and shit we've been through. I can't say the same for women. To me.. If you know that you intend to split and you have no intentions of going far with her you may want to help her a bit but ease on out of it. She'll only be more destroyed that you did all that shit for her and STILL didn't want to be with her. Thats a huge mixed signal. |

You and R.C. are saying two different things right here. Which is why I am asking the question I am asking. I also started reading the manipulated man, which sounds like what you're trying to tell me here. How a man is foolish to try to get a girl to be an intellectual and they really don't care about those kinds of things but men still try to bring them up to our level. Not sure anymore.

Once you fuck a girl, all that friendly shit goes out the window. At least in my experience. I wasn't referencing the book though, but that is a good point. Its true. |

I'll admit to being guilty of trying to bring women to my level from time to time. Come to think of it Eddie might be right. She may be worse off in the end. Maybe it's better to take his advice. |

I don't want to send mixed signals at all...but it's tough with my nurturing trait. I think I will sprinkle it here and there. She is in the rotation after all. Except i have been seeing her twice a week. And I have slept with her so I don't think that friendly shi is necessary right now. I think she has been doing a good job with getting me out of my MLR mindset is all. This post is a heat check in a way. |
