Post subject:  How long to wait until contacting a new number?
So, I did maybe my 10th cold approach ever. Did a HORRIBLE job looking back, but the girl was nice, made it easy on me and at the end of the set I got a number. I've had such a hard time making cold approaches, I had to give myself a pep-talk before talking to her but after this success I feel so much more confident, again, despite doing a horrible job. I asked her how she was doing and she returned the question to which I responded "great, how are you" smh. I did sneak in a few clever comments though as a saving grace.

Now that I have her number, how long do I wait to contact her? Right after the set I text her "-Nathan, again nice meeting you". She said "nice meeting you too :) ". I'm legitimately busy this weekend working two twelve hour shifts so I'm wondering. When should I contact her?.. Thanks in advance for helping a newbie out.

Texting her right after the set was a good move IMO. Then she's got your number too.

Don't wait too long. There's no waiting rule (if you are asking because you heard some silly "wait 3 days" rule somewhere, disregard it. It's horse shit.)

Just call her whenever you have at least 30 minutes to chit chat man.

I like to call girls the same or the next day. But it all depends.

You also don't want to put pressure on yourself to contact the chick from the one number so I would suggest you gather a bit more in the process of getting around to this one.

Good going for doing 10 cold approaches!

There is no timeline when you should or shouldn't contact her. Before you got the number, a quick set up of a date would have been great to see if she was open to the idea.

Text her whenever you want and schedule the meet. It shows her you have balls of brass.

Ok so she didn't reply, as you said on to the next girl.

But the more approaches you do, the more confident you will become. Eventually you will ooze confidence.

I text during the set if I can, or immediately after so she can get my number. As soon as she responds I mirror her response time. her 5 minutes to respond me 5 minutes her a day me a day, her no response me no response until 7 days later and I try to start a new thread.

This with giving her only one opportunity of going cold without a response.

Anyway, I move with purpose with my text...to set up a meeting.
I establish comfort, get her to laugh then attempt to set up a date. Won't text again between the date set up and the actual date. if she sends messages say I'm busy and I'll see her during the date it a nice friendly non dismissive way.
