While Mystery and Co. were one of the first to some very interesting concepts into the room and they are great to keep in the back of your mind while practising your game, please don't be THAT GUY. The one that blindly tries to follow some pre-set routine. You will come over as a friggin' robot. My comments: - Ditch the negs. For real, do it now. They are the biggest failure in PUA, yet somehow they are still around. They don't work. There is no problem with being cocky, but straight up walking to a woman and "negging" her is socially retarded, insulting and disrespectful (and no, telling her "her hair looks like a dead animal LOL" will not make her want to sleep with you more than she did before) - DHV: While it is typically not a bad thing to display higher value, you see those guys all the time as well: Socially retarded, short, skinnyfat guys with no sense of style whatsoever compulsively trying to impress women with "DHVs". I know it is a bit long term thing, but focus on being the best man you can be. Your value will speak for its own. If you must brag, make sure to do so in a SUBTLE way (for example by asking her about a subject you know you are great in while qualifying her, so that you get to talk about it when she asks you "what about yourself?") - Number close: Not that it is bad to get a number close, but again, you are conditioning your entire interaction with that goal in mind. Not good. You want to interact for the fun of it. You want to get a kiss close if you feel like it. Or a fuck close. Whatever. As I said, keep those concepts in mind (most of them do make sense), but focus on building a more natural game from the beginning on or you will fail. About night game: There is roughly 10000 posts on this forum about the differences between night and daygame. Lurk more. But, albeit the factors influencing it change a big deal, the structure of pick up remains roughly the same. |

I have nothing but respect for Mystery, Style & Co. for the veterans they are and all they did for the art of seduction, but their shit is outdated in our age and world. That material focuses on un-natural game, on scripted routines and interactions which simply don't work in the long run. A great trailer doesn't make a great movie. Will you maybe get a lay off of it every once in a while? sure. But real pickup is about so much more than that. OP, if you want to read a book, I strongly suggest "Models" by Mark Manson. More so, if you can get the audiobook, as he himself reads it, definitely do so. It adds so much more depth to it. That is hands down the best material out there. No bullshit, no scripted interactions, no magic routines. A 100% legit must-read for anyone. |

I second that suggestion.

I agree with the above posters. I just want to add a few points about Mystery Method, and game theory in general. It has been said that Mystery Method works for Mystery because of his personality. In fact, all methods, theories, techniques and whatnot have different levels of success depending on who you are as a person. Or so they say at least. I have a slightly different view... There is a vaguely defined persona which is the ideal - the optimal person you can be in terms of attraction. The closer you get to become this, the more attractive you will be. However, not many of us can reach all the way due to both biological and psychological reasons. Even if you nail it all you will still not have a chance with many girls, and you simply have to accept this. All techniques, methods and so on all try to teach how to become this ideal. They do it in different ways, and some of them are bold and unrefined (DHV for instance). What you as a student need to do is to learn as many different things as possible, try to relate it all to real life situations, compare with other successful men, and most important of all, question EVERYTHING. By doing this you will find the essence of the theories and methods, and get a deeper understanding of them. Every method has some value that you can use to you advantage. Just don't take anything you learn literally. Try to see the bigger picture. |
