Gentlemen, First time poster, but I've been at it for awhile. I've done very well for myself, but I am out of practice, as I have just gotten out of a long relationship. I've been doing fine in the past 4 months, with some okay girls but have a funny situation... I recently took a sales position 8 weeks ago and my new team, that I am forced to hang out with 50 hours a week, happen to be 3 fairly attractive girls in their mid-twenties. We are all traveling together to Raleigh N.C. on Sunday. We each get our own own room in the same hotel and we leave Tuesday evening. We are scheduled to have a team dinner and maybe drinks Sunday and Monday night. However, my first day on the job in Raleigh, I met my orientation leader (Certified 9.) I watched every other guy hit on her, while I ignored her for 2 days until the end of the class. I told her I wanted her to show me the restaurants in town, since I was new and I'd be back semi-frequently. I was direct and got the number and a verbal agreement to meet when I came into town. Gave her the "It was nice to meet you. I'll let you know when I come around. Gotta run, my bags just landed." follow up and a LinkedIn request 1 week later. Got a "It was nice to meet you too. Hope you had a good first week." reply a few days later. Forgot about her until they told me I was going yesterday. I can tell there is at minimum a slight mutual attraction that is growing with all of the girls on my team. However they do seem that they'r not as much of party goers as I am. I could see something happening but it might not be worth the risk. The "HR girl" is super hot but I only have 48 hours including 2 work days and already tentative, planned events with the rest of the team. Long story short. I want to know how you think I should play this. I'm bringing my A game with me. Your help is much appreciated and I'll keep you posted along the way. First, tell me how I notify HR girl that I'll be in town? ~ Christian |

" I have a big opportunity sunday" The viewing of this situation as such has already put you driving behind her on a one way street trying to get ahead. Hit reverse and pull away. If you're going get this girl you are going to NOT consciously hit on her at all. Its too late for that. You've already fucked yourself mentally , anyone telling you to is only speaking from their perspective; I'm speaking to your situation. Don't hit on her. Just be cool.. If everyones hitting on her anyway the guy that gets her in this environment has to be the guy that she sought after. Just chill and she's yours. She'll come to you. |

Thanks guys for the input. I am with you on the team members. I'm not going tp cause any trouble there. However, with the HR girl, the only reason I met her was because of orientation. The company has about 10k people and we don't even work in the same city. If I don't re initiate contact, I won't ever see her again. Like I said before, I already was direct, but only after I acted to busy to notice her while every other girl got rejected hard, until we were left alone in a room together. She was definitely receptive enough to give me her number and give the verbal to meet again, while being part of the HR department. So how should I go about contacting her this time? Dinner isn't the right move. Drinks or coffee maybe? How do I secure the follow up while still being chill like you said. Again, if I don't contact her I won't see her. Thanks, ~ Christian |
