I recently ended things with a long term girlfriend and have been back on the market for a few months and was struggling to get over the mental block and hook up with anyone. Last night I was with a girl at a club who I have met a few times before and we have many mutual friends. I did not number close but I have had her as a Facebook friend for quite some time due to the two or three times we had met before. Do I message her? If so how long do I wait? |

Always close, man... It's tough to get over the hump and get past the approach anxiety, I know. You need to make yourself do it though. Facebook is better than nothing - the problem there is that you already had her as a friend before your night out... She won't know your intentions when contacting her. (IE: if you got her number at the bar and were flirting and touching she'd know you're contacting her for a date)... Don't wait though - do it now... The sooner the better. You're still semi-fresh in her mind. Something like "Was great seeing you the other night" to start would work. |

If Fakebook is all you have to work with, use the 'poke routine' and transfer quickly to text-call-meet. |

You could always try bro. But based off of the vibe you're SPAM in the post I think the attempt to reconnect the next day through Facebook after not taking the bull by the horns and doing so while she was in front of you will be a great challenge to overcome. You have to always remember what you are sub communicating.. Ask yourself that question when in conflict on deciding to follow up. What are you sub communicating here? That you're not assertive and not completely sure of what you want. You waste opportunity.. Try bro, but I can't see why its important for you to get this one. Just seems like you're looking for a quick milestone so you can feel like you finally got one. Put the ego aside and get back out there and make something happen. Stop looking for the easy way out. |
