Hi guys, I gave Tinder a go, swiped right on at least 150 girls. Only got matched with bots it seems. Got frustrated and deleted after 2 days. Did I give up too soon? Or should I just accept the fact I'm ugly... For the guys that use Tinder how many days until you got your first match? Thanks, |

Looks matter a lot when it comes to online dating; make sure you are making the best out of your profile. Also, in case you were not doing this already: Swipe right to EVERYTHING for like 10 minutes as fast as you can. You can delete the ones you don't like later on, once you'va matched. |

Speaking of pics, what are the best techniques to get a good pic? I have very few pictures taken from people other than myself, and I am terribly shitty at taking selfies. I can't fake smiles. I pretty much gave up on Tinder, though. I found it to be crap in Tokyo. I used it for about 3 months and got maybe 8 matches that weren't bots, and only 2-3 actually replied me, with only one of those knowing it was a dating app and was "looking for a boyfriend." |

I pretty much gave up on Tinder, though. I found it to be crap in Tokyo. I will admit, that my pictures aren't the ideal, but I would treat is as any other form of online dating. The pictures should demonstrate value. It should be you doing something, hanging out with friends, having a good time, if you sing, then you should have a picture of you singing to a crowd, etc. Now, I don't have many pictures like that but I am going out more and will ask people to take picture of me having fun ( whatever that is at the time). Right now, just because I'm kinda cute is getting me by on these sites and the lil paragraph about me.. |

Check out Pebble's thread on the subject. Pebble has very tight online game (from what I've seen). Good place to start. |

Heh...most of my group pictures out with friends have me decked out in paintball gear. I only have one blurry shot of me from a shisha bar with friends. I myself am not much of a picture taker and I seem to hang out with like-minded folks

-no selfies. at all" -smile -have girls in your pictures (but dont be all over them) -have fun things going on in your pictures -be clear who you are. too big of a group or hats or glasses on wont help. -rate your pictures. if you have facebook or IG put up your pictures that have the most likes and comments. i know guys used to use the hot or not site to test pictures as well. id look for something similar. this blog has fantastic statistics for online dating. http://blog.okcupid.com/ remember online dating is shallow. No BS man if you arent good looking and dont have good pictures you will not achieve high success. Even at the peak of a guys abilities online, the super hot girls are almost non existent. Its solid for building skills though. Dates, escalation, talking, texting, etc. |

99% of the time that's because of your pics. Better pics = more interest. On the other hand, there's never ever going to be a better option than hitting the streets and meeting women IRL. They feel your energy. And if your energy and presentation are both on point, they really really like it.

At the time I thought I had a decent pic. Dressed nicely, not looking into the camera. Also a very straightforward profile info section (does anyone ever pay attention to that?). After three months or so I got 10 or so matches but few responded and many were bots. Also the amount of "if you're looking for sex swipe left" profiles is so great I want to scream at them to gtfo Tinder. Also so many profiles without face shots or even pictures at all. I just tried it again today with a new profile. I honestly think this profile is shit. The profile picture is a cropped group picture that isn't high quality and I look like an idiot hipster. My profile info is a cursory one-liner about my hobbies/things I'm interested in. Despite being selective with my swipes (I have reasons) I got 8 matches on the first day. One opened me before I could open her and exchanged contact info. I opened all the rest but only four replied so far. |
