I've been swiping mostly because my friends(guys and some girls) do it, and it's usually for shits and giggles. I match with girls now and again, usually decently attractive, as in a 7 or 8 most of the time, but I almost never get a response if I try sending a message. Is swiping on tinder really only good for shits and giggles? |

Tinder is now better then PoF and OK Cupid combined. This is true for girls that are DTF and girls that are more serious. In related news PoF and OK Cupid suck worse then ever, largely thanks to Tinder. I can only speak for the USA. |

Your openers and messages are weaker than they should be then. Tinder is ass-kickingly good for hookups, and more recently even for some dates/relationships (though I'm not entirely convinced on that yet). If you want profile help, post it up! |

If you're running out after 10 swipes, then yes - that could be limiting... Seriously though? 50 miles and 10 swipes is all you're getting? Are you looking for a very specific age range or something? |

Nooooooo, no. That's not what I meant. There are plenty of girls to swipe on because of the various regional state universities, but most of them are on average 35-50 miles away.

Haven't fully figured out which messages work the most and which usually don't yet. All I know is to avoid starting out by saying something like "hey, how are?"

Tinder isn't really my thing, but i know some dudes getting a couple lays a week with it. It all comes down to your game though bro. Anywhere there is chicks, there is sexual tension and anywhere there is sexual tension you can make use of it however you will. |

Are you good looking? Then yes, Tinder is worth it. Are you ugly? Its better if you approach girls in real life. Are you someplace in between? Then get extremely good, professional grade pics done and it can be worth it. |

first and foremost you better make sure your pictures are good. Then what does your profile say? Then how is your text game? Then lets worry about logistics and demographics. As of now you have your concerns in the wrong order. |

Between reading your comment and a couple articles, it's clear I need to do a complete overhaul of new photos. I'll start working on that.As of now you have your concerns in the wrong order. Been working off some tips that a few different articles gave for what to write on a profile. Played around with different descriptions just to test the water, but what it currently says is below: (I'd appreciate feedback on this and suggestions for changes. If it's somehow too generic or just plain shitty, say so.) "(College name) 2014. From (insert city). Coffee addict, guitarist and champion thumb wrestler. Life isn't meant to be taken too seriously. Join me for a beer." Can't say too much about how good my text game is cause usually the girls shut me down kind of quickly once I try opening, or they don't bother to answer....I guess that means my text game sucks right now haha. |

Remember that the best pickup line is always "hi" or "you one sexy babe" |

I think cyclone may have meant the worst pickup line online are "hi" and "hey sexy babe" anyway... Quote: "(College name) 2014. From (insert city). Coffee addict, guitarist and champion thumb wrestler. Life isn't meant to be taken too seriously. Join me for a beer."
bad, but not horrible. You aren't showing any value, prizability, or selectiveness. No one cares you are a coffee addict, and thumb wrestling is PUA circa 2006; might as well run the Cube with that outdated shit. Why are you asking to have her join you for a beer? You don't even know who they are yet. Does that sound like you are being selective and have high value? You did manage to sound upbeat and somewhat humorous, so that is something. Here is my suggestion, just Google "good Tinder Profile content" and copy and paste some decent shit. Don't reinvent the wheel, your too new at this to come up with good shit on your own. And while it's true girls mainly look at pix, and then maybe content, the profile content is much more important for woman than for men. I'm not bad looking but I promise you my text game and profile content have gotten me more puss then my pix. The pictures just open the door. |
