Before we start, I just want to point out that I don't need moralizing or recommendations to sleep with other girls. I'm not a greenhorn, and I sleep with plenty of girls. I'm not worried or in danger of falling into oneitis. This situation is a very intentional one on my part. I'm mostly concerned that prior feelings for this girl are affecting my game/ability to recognize cues. All I want is analysis. I dated a girl a little less than two years back, it was quite hot, and it was my first relationship after I had discovered PUA. It lasted for about 3 months. She wanted exclusivity, and I did not (and was less capable of handling that situation then). I ended things (amicably) when she said she had gone out on a date with someone else - even though she was just trying to goad me into committing to her. She moved on quickly and I got pretty broken up about it - didn't even sleep with another girl for a couple of months. We haven't seen each other in a year and a half. During this period she's made several overtures to see me and commented on things about my life. She even messaged me wanting to get drinks at one point and I didn't press for it. She's almost 29, and I typically won't date over 25. But damn, I liked this one! It'd be nice to at least see her. Anyway, it's her birthday in a few days, and I want to see how she's doing and possibly meet up with her in the near future. Don't even know if I'll sleep with her. About a week or two ago I posted about how I gave a nickname to just about everyone I knew. She commented on it (this was on Facebook) and said she was, "mildly offended" (bullshit she was). I told her she just wanted to know what her names were, which she admitted to. Anyway, I message her today, asking her when her birthday is, and tell her I'm going to call her on it. She says, "Sunday, and that might piss off my boyfriend Haha". As far as I know, the boyfriend is a placeholder boyfriend, though they've been dating a while. After that she made a teasing comment and a tongue-sticking emoticon - very tease-y. My initial read of this is her saying, "I have a boyfriend, are you man enough to call?" But it could also be "That is a bad time to call, call another time". What's your analysis? And no, "She has a boyfriend, stay away from her!!" comments. Every girl has a boyfriend, especially at her age. |

I think you sound like a bit of a loser in this post. And thats just me being honest. I'm not saying so to offend you; more so just to kick you in the ass when you need it the way a friend would. I think you know better man. I think you're smart enough to know that you only want her now because she seems a bit out of reach. I think you know in your heart that if you were to get this girl you would instantly become reminded all over again why you didn't want to commit to her in the first place. My suggestion is that you completely forget any of this ever happened and get to living the life that you used to live. And stop responding to your bodies chemical reactions. You're better than that. If I responded to my anger every time I felt it I would be in a lot of trouble. And so if i responded to my "love" everytime i felt it I would be in a lot of trouble as well. They're both emotions. Don't be ruled by them, rule over them. I say drop her bro. But you have to understand why thats best on your own. |
