I meditate twice a day for 20 mins. Long story short. Sit or stand with your spine straight and mentally say " I AM " for 20 minutes. Any time thoughts arrive, just revert by to "I AM" ". If you get distracted or interrupted its fine just revert back to " IAM " Let the I AM's take there own place. You want to say it once loud and clear in your meditate and meditate off of the streaming echo for 20 mins. Its simple and highly effective, and you won't know until you give it a try. Much Love. |

Het Eddie! A quick question following that up, when you say that you mentally say "I AM" do you mean that you keep saying that to keep your mind off of distractions; or do you say "I AM" then fill it with a positive phase like, "I am awesome," "I am happy" kind of thing?

Thanks for this technique man I've heard so many different techniques that I didn't know where to start. This is exactly what I needed. Long story short. I might switch it around a bit based on some eastern philosophy i have learned, and repeat "i am not" Thanks again |

Meditation isn't so much "what" you do but "how" you do it. saying sitting with your legs crossed, eyes, closed, and focusing on your breath is what meditation is, is like saying that pushups are what working out is all about. traditional cross legged meditation is a powerful way to hone your focus and practice meditation but it is far from a full picture of what meditation is. Meditation is basically a state of total focus where you're hyper aware of what your senses are taking in that exact moment but you have no internal dialog about it. In the book Flow, by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. The author starts by searching for the fundamental basis for happiness. He interviews people from all over the world in professions ranging from surgery, to rock climbing. Every person, when asked to describe the times when the felt the most joy and happiness all reported experiences of being swept away by whatever they were doing. Where they entered a state of "flow" where the world melted away and all that was left was the task at hand. This flow state, or state of total mental awareness of the present is the same experience people have while sitting with their eyes closed chanting. it's the same state you enter when you practice something you love, and you loose yourself in it. Your level of experience depends on your level of skill you have in that arena but it's something that can be applied 24/7. it's not reserved for a specific time. It's measurable, easily duplicated once you get the hang of it. I'd for sure check out Flow, or the power of now if what you're looking for in meditation is a boost in the quality of your life. Both books give practice tips that can be applied all the time for better results in virtually anything. |

Meditation can actually be very helpful for interactions with women. The main reason for this is because when you learn to control and calm your body on demand, you will have much less stress in your life. When you have less stress, you will be happier MUCH more often. This natural happiness will transfer over when talking to women, especially when you are approaching. This can honestly skyrocket your game, because women feed off good emotions. If a guy walks up and he’s portraying good emotions, her mirror neurons will start firing and she will actually start feeling happy as well. She will have no idea why she all of a sudden is starting to feel this way, but she will love it. I recommend not only meditation, but also trying to learn to relax and calm yourself (start with your jaw) during situations with a lot of tension. This will get you used to the tension of talking to a women you don’t know. And when you can keep calm while talking to a random girl, she will just assume you do this all the time because you are so calm and collective. This will also help her relax as well |
