| Post subject: | Where To Game? |
Bar a couple of "experiments" I haven't really practised any of the "game" I've learnt, mainly because I haven't fully got to grips with it yet. Still I am wondering where should I go to sarge/practice opening girls. I work friday and saturday nights so that limits my options. Would a pub during the week be ok? How about in a supermarket? (what kind of openers could be used?) Libary!? (with the quiet rules how would I work that?) Anywhere else I should be going, radomnly up the street? Also any newbie challenges I should tryout? Finally how much do these boot camps usally cost? I think one of those would be great to get me into the scene. Appretiate I got a little off-topic but I have lots of questions |

I can't really help in much since I have many of the same questions. But about the bootcamps, I've been looking into them quite a bit and man are they expensive! I've found Juggler's and RSD's bootcamp/workshops to be the cheapest around $1500 or so. Maybe I'm being irrational, but since I loved The Game so much, I can't like RSD with all the shit they pulled in the book. Then you have PU 101, Vindi Carlo, Mystery's Venusian Arts, and the MM which are all $2500 or $3000! There aren't enough reviews around and alot look biased sometimes, so I don't really know what to do about bootcamps yet either. |

Ah yeah UK changes things. Since I'm from US I never looked into UK, but I do know Gambler, the PUA with all the ads on this forum right now is in UK. http://www.puatraining.com/courses-prices/ they seem to have the pricey £X,XXX courses like others, but also two of their lisings were real cheap. Not sure what they are though |

The cheaper ones are generally just seminars and don't include any "in field" work. As for where you want to be practicing, I've been finding some differences of opinion on the subject late. Some people like myself really enjoy pubs and lounges, places where you can talk with ease because it isn't too loud, people are there for conversation and it's pretty relaxed. Other guys find this boring though and they like the big clubs, where you have to shout and jump around and show your energy to hook sets. So depending on your personality you might like one better than the other, but personally I think you should practice everywhere, all the time. The ugly lady behind the counter at the convenience store enjoys conversation just as much as an HB9, so practice on her by learning how to hook people and have good conversation, then when you go to the club and plan on opening the set of HB9s it isn't going to phase you. Same thing with your mechanic, the guy at Blockbuster, you talk to everyone all the time and you become a social person that feel comfortable doing it and can do it just as easily with sets of hot girls in clubs. |

Hey how we all doing? Some people like clubs while others like pubs but the deal is if you wish to be good then you must be able to work any situation. So now the issue with the pub is people get stuck in this comfort zone and never try the club game as their achieving success. However if you can beat club game where there are so many distractions and it is hard to make yourself stand out you will progress further. Also club game is great for new guys as it has the biggest percentage of stats the more times you fail the better off you are to succeed. If you can excel with the biggest challenge than you can do anything. Thanks guys, well I work in a club of fridays and saturdays so I guess the pub is going to be my setting. Although I could still practice whilst im working, currently trying to get some ideas on how to make that work but not got very far yet. I think pubs would be better for me as I do find myself leaning in when I cant hear a girl and prefer a quiter setting. I totaly get the practicing starting conversations with everyone you meet, tried this the other day with UG behind the counter and got a great response, i've been going into that shop for years and never really spoke to her. I dont know about you guys but its gives you a great feeling inside when you start applying something and seeing results, immagine how I will feel 1st #close, k-close, f-close etc. I would be the type to get stuck in a comfort zone so thanks for that The Saint, i'll keep that in mind in future. Make sure I push my boundries partly why I took up the job in the nightclub actually Anyone think of any great places for day game, Shopping centre is good I hear anywhere else? |

my personal favorite places to sarge are a large Mall, and a crowded bookstore. both are best for daygame. for nightgame, yeah your basic pub/bar will do ya, stay away from the really loud popular places, as it is much harder to game there. find a good dive bar, those seem to work well. |
