Excited questions, and Mystery outdated?

Post subject:  Excited questions, and Mystery outdated?
Hey guys!

So I've been stalking this forum for a couple of days now and I am incredibly excited to go "Sarging".
My plan is to go out a couple of times a week and just focus on the the step I am currently at, and build it up solid. Not using the things I usually do but playing it as a game. THE Game.
Have some questions though:

1. Are you guys sober while Sarging? Never thought about this untill recently and I think I would really like to go out sober, because that would bleed over to my game during places where there is no alcohol wouldn't it?

2. I really like the Mystery Method as it helps me understand the concepts of this game. However i've read that it is outdated which really fills me with doubt. I will not peacock, but the rest of it sounds good to me so what is it that is outdated?

My goal is not to F-close (yet)! My goal is to build a solid game that will almost guarantee a kiss close. If I can go out sober with my friends and "only" kiss close which would leave me free and fresh the next day to do whatever. Ah man, the fun I would have in that scenario is bubbling up inside me as I type this.
I have written down my own interpretation of the game so far. So, Have I gotten kinda the right idea about the structure of the game?:

1. Approach the set by an indirect approach (talking over the shoulder). Smiling. Have an energy level just slightly above that of the set.
2. Give a false time contraint and an opener, talk to any guys in the set first. and bodyrock.
3. Face the set. Tell a story with DHV spikes that flips some attraction switches. Neg the target during the storytelling. Be carefull to keep all the members focused on me.

4. Throw a hoop and see if the target is ready, only taking her hoops if he has taken a hoop of equal or greater "value".
5. Bait, hook, reel, release. "blah blah" "blah blah" "Are you serious, blah blah I cant even talk to you right now". Face the group more. Continue talking to the group.
6. Get back to the target, make her qualify herself. Something like: "Beauty is a common thing, what makes you special?".

7. When enough kino has been built and IOI has been shown, use a compliance test. Isolate her <- no idea here, the clubs in my town never has free places to sit,,, ever. Perhaps just go like "Your friend here likes me, mind if I borrow her for a minute?" And then go away a couple of meters.
8. Build comfort, build rapport. Should i tell her something revealing? Like compliment her on her looks or personality or something?
9. Go in for the kiss.

Am I totally lost here or is this the main idea? I've left out the huge part of Kino because I still dont know about this one. When to start etc. What am I missing? What parts is in the wrong order? When I get congruent with this, will it almost guarantee a kiss close?

So, any hopes for me? :)

Find out what works for you. I'm better when I'm drinking, personally... a lot of guys here will say don't drink and do it sober... which is probably a better route actually.

I find it outdated, but the shit still clearly works. I more find the routines and the games outdated. Natural game has become much more prevalent in recent years.

Look man, it's mostly the right 'idea' but that's sort of like saying Australia is in that general direction, and pointing south... You need to adapt your game based on responses and how the girl is reacting to you... IE: don't move to step 4 of you haven't passed step 3... But sometimes you need to skip step 3.

It's trial and error. You need to find out what works for YOU, using these tools and methods.

Ask 10 guys here how they pick up girls and you'll get 10 different answers.

As Charles said find what works for you. Just don't become a diehard fanboy and stick to any method or style. What works best for you depends on the venues you're going, what you look like, your style, the girls you want, what you want (quick lays, dates, social circle, relationships, fwbs etc), the culture, how good you are at having conversations etc. A good looking athletic frat guy in a college town could use RSD and get laid at parties, a socially awkward guy in a laid back lounge may be better off working the room. So play around with stuff, see the results and if necessary find something that clicks with you.

Thanks alot to the both of you! :)

I must admit though that I am a little disheartened by your responses. I never thought this would be easy, but I did hope that I was on to something here haha.

I can imagine that this is a very reactive game, and that you need to be aware of how the set is behaving, and that you need to use the material accordingly.
But still, is there any pillars that all the methods are built upon though? Like any fundamentals that can be found in RSD, Rules of the Game, Mystery Method, Stealth Attraction etc? Any silver lining that is shared throughout them?

Sure - you can start with Mystery or RSD or whatever. The thing is you can't just treat it like a script... Girls don't always respond exactly the way you're conditioned to think they might, based on that material... and it throws you for a loop if you're not actively listening and adapting what you're doing.

So while you listed out those 8 or 9 steps, or whatever - it was sort of funny thinking that's how you actually thought it would go.

Try it and you'll get a feel for it.

You'll learn best by failing (as bad as that sounds).

Ah ok cool I see. I am still confused though.

But let me get this straight: I can go according to the steps of Mystery Method and if I do it "right" it will give me some success but from there I have to go with my own thing?

Or do I just go out with nothing and begin talking to women. And figure out my own way to go from "Hi" to sex?

Or are you just saying that perhaps RSD is my thing, or Stealth Atraction maybe? And for me to find this out I have to go out and try them? And one will, over time and practice, give me huge success?

Ok cool so I could roll with it to get introduced to the social game of talking to women then?

The natural game is rather much more advanced isn't it? I would feel rather left out to the wolves if I was going natural haha

Good idea to use some method - any method - to get the ball rolling.

What happens with some guys is they develop their own game that is mostly independent of the initial method they went with. For some guys it becomes as simple as talking to the girl about something going on in the immediate environment, exchanging info about eachother, closing.

The main thing is to not be analyzing your body position, eye contact and all of that while in a set, but rather to let things flow freely and to trust the knowledge you've built up so that your subconscious can best guide your reactions and words. Analyze everything about the set after it has been completed so you can improve for future situations.

Don't overcomplicate it. It all starts with opening. Take a style of opener and try it out for a while. Look at the responses and change if necessary. If something is not working, change it. Like a jig saw puzzle. Take ONE piece and see what fits to that. Then attach another piece. Soon you'll have an idea of what is working and what you need to work on.
