Hi, share your opinion on reading love novels and watching romantic soap operas.

Does this activities improve your game some how (for instance being smooth as the main character, or just learning some cool phrases) or its for real squashy stuff for women to waste their time with?

Argument yourself too.

For me personally I have a very hard time watching those things.

I believe it hurts the game because its created a reality that is unrealistic in the mind. Hollywood romance movies/stories are responsible for a lot of the oneitis that is occurring within men today. Everyone is looking for this perfect idea. They all want someone to make them feel complete. I'm into creating my own reality and not living in one that was designed by others.

No.

Those are boring as fuck! Just jump to the sexual parts so you know what women (who love reading romance novels) wish a f-close should be like.

Some phrases there are also useful in text game.

Other than those, romantic novels will mess up your game if you didn't approach the structure logically. Romance novels are presented emotionally with highs and lows.

If guys did half the shit that happens in those books and movies, they'd never get the girl....

Starting with telling them how madly in love they are with them, before they're even dating... in the movie: Wonderful, all works out - guy gets girl....

In real life: Girl is creeped the fuck out. Immediately friend-zones guy. He no longer has any chance.

Romance novels... Probably just going to fuck you up.

Literotica however... that might make a difference. Women get all hot and bothered reading 50 shades of grey. Might be able to learn a thing or two from that.

I read Gone With the Wind. Ol' Rhett Butler managed to believably combine just about every sexy stereotype women like. I wouldn't waste my time reading more than one or two. It can be mildly helpful, just as skimming through Cosmo and Seventeen sometime can give you some insight. It doesn't mean "Take everything as delivered and copy it". It just means read it for perspective.

Chick flicks can be useful if you play it right, but you have to play on the memory of the feeling, and have fun with it. Recreate a major well known scene in a playful manner. I personally have closed many times simply by knowing the final dance to Time Of Our Lives from Dirty Dancing. Even the I'm on top of the world scene from Titanic works. Her memory jumps and she gets her little sense of fantasy becoming reality. He'll, just singing a line or two from a song in a scene works wonders. But have fun with it.
Another thing I like doing is playing a game where I try to analyze and tell her her personality and whether or not we'd be compatible based on what her favorite love story, romance, or fairytale is; you can be playful as he'll with it while qualifying, getting her to qualify, negging and false disqualifying all at the same time.
And the added effect is, next time she watches that movie, reads that line, or hears that song; you come to mind

This book is way more effective for what the OP is after than reading romance novels IMO.

I mean more specific reading romance novels from point of view to learn how to talk smooth in seductive way.

Sort of that way.

If you can make a girl's pussy wet, then you're seductive. It's a matter of style whether you want it sleazy or James Bond-suave.
