| Post subject: | I'm thinking about trying them |
I'm an outsider to the PUA community but I get the same videos in my inbox as everyone else, like the one for Stealth Seduction, the Josh Pellecier one with the fish, the Pandora's Box one where you put the woman on a type by getting her to answer 3 questions, the one with the guy who sleeps on his mom's couch and just sits in the middle of the club and lets the HB10s come to him, the text messages that get you laid, Neil Strauss's book The Game yada yada yada. I hear the same marketing claims - it's totally rejection-proof, I can only sell 300 of these, it'll work on any woman, you can buy this package and get laid tonight, I have to take this video down next week etc etc. Even though I'm 12 years happily married to a Latina HB9, attraction and pickup has always been a half-infatuation with me because I've never really had any control over my dating life. I've had several cute girlfriends over the years, but it was almost always the case that *they* chose *me* - they for whatever reason thought I was cute and pursued *me*, and I was such an idiot with them that I'm lucky they liked me so much that they were patient enough to put up with all my flaws. You should have seen what a moron I was when I first started dating my wife - I'm lucky she ended up marrying me! Bottom line, if it was *me* who liked the *girl*, literally 99% of the time she wouldn't even go out with me. I don't mean I asked her out, we went out on a couple dates and there was no chemistry - I'm talking flat, blunt, dead-on-arrival rejection. And in many cases within a week or two they were dating some guy who made me think, "What??? You turned *me* down for *HIM*?????" Or worse, they date guy after guy after guy after guy while consistently rejecting *me*. Where am I going with all of this? Good question. The poker tables have been good to me this year and I have some discretionary income, so I was thinking about buying some of those programs that cost $70-$100, reading and watching them, and posting totally unbiased reviews of them from a guy who's not even trying to get laid (I do have some single friends though - maybe I could convince one or more of them to try one of them just for the hell of it). Another thing that might be interesting would be to see if I can find a single friend and get him to try just using this site - just going on the newbie mission, posting his results here and letting posters give him advice about what to try/study/practice etc next and see how he does in comparison to those who use the paid packages. For this idea to work, I would have to be able to convince everybody that I'm in no way, shape or form being compensated, endorsed or otherwise influenced by any of the people who are actually selling those products. In this age of internet skepticism that's nearly impossible. I'd love to hear feedback - would anyone out there actually be interested in hearing about what you get for the money? If I'm able to actually talk some of my friends into trying them would anyone be interested in hearing their experiences? If so, what would it take to get you believe these are truly open, honest, unbiased experiences? Hope the post made sense. DTXCF |

This is one of those things that sounds better in your own mind, than to everyone listening. PUA is something that you're going to have pursue from a deep desire within. Your friends won't get very far, because none of this is easy at first and they'll lack the inner drive to follow through. They have to want to do it. You can't "talk them into it" and expect them to get anywhere. As for products... The Way of the Superior Man Models by Mark Manson Random book from 60YOC (all of his books are basically the same thing). Lifestyle Training from Cory Sky If your HB9 wife thought you were cute, then I assume you are. In that case, you can also try adding in some of Gambler's stuff. Gambler has good advice for nice looking men. Those are all quality products with mostly good advice and very little toxic advice. Most PUA material is like an arsenic filled chocolate. Some good, with a lot of nasty poison. And a lot of the most popular stuff is also the least useful. |

As a brief update, I've previewed several of the paid packages and so far everything I've seen confirms what Versalis said. Despite the brilliant marketing there's nothing I've seen so far that will have any AFC banging supermodels tomorrow. I *do* see what looks like good advice, don't get me wrong, it's just good advice that still requires dedication and desire to implement. If anyone else out there is curious as to what you actually get as compared to the promises, feel free to ask questions. |
