Like a lot of men that are getting older, I'm going bald. I'm white and pretty tall. I don't have a traditionally great head for being bald. It's kind of small. Not circus sideshow small or peanut head by any means. I just don't have like a Vin Diesel look where shaving my head is going to make me look super masculine. Any bald guys out there with personal experiences? I'm actually considering shaving my head and getting tattoos so I'll at least look like a bad ass. What do you guys think? |

If it's 'you' then go for it. Maybe have some temps put on your head see how you feel about it before the commitment of a tattooed head. |

How "bald" are we talking? Like, "You can see my scalp through my hair" or "My scalp has some clumps of hair that pepper it". At some point, you are better off shaving it. But visibly thinning hair can be better than bald, depending on your head type. Hair is more than just hair. It also makes you appear taller, provides color contrast and frames your face, which are two reasons that a slight beard edge around the chin a half inch across can make a huge difference in your appearance. Same deal with a shaved head. Different hair cuts and styles can both emphasize and minimize how your hair or lack of it looks. Have you specifically discussed this with your stylist and made it clear that your top concern is compensating for baldness? Unless you're quite bald, as opposed to thinning, I'd get the opinion of a paid fashion consultant before I shaved. If you're thinning, once you shave, there is almost no going back, because you'll look ridiculous for months if you try to grow it out again. |

Ok, do NOT do this. If you are going to get tattoos at least do 'SMP' (scalp micro pigmentation which makes it look like you shave your head on purpose). But you are going to seriously regret getting tattoos all over your head. I'm going bald also. My head shape is ok so I will just shave it when it gets bad enough, but there are plenty of better options (as in, like ANYTHING) than tattooing all over your head!!

Shaving head and growing beard is a good way, i don't know about tatoos, some girls like them some don't...Low body fat and muscles over tatoos, i do have some tatoos btw. The problem is some dudes look ugly as fuck with shave head, that is why a beard will help...Nice professional from a urban barber(no women) |

I should have clarified. My fault for not being more descriptive. I wouldn't get head tattoos. I'd get sleeves and maybe tattoos on my chest. No head tattoos. I'm not trying to look crazy. I'm a working professional, so I wouldn't get tattoos anywhere that would be visible with a collar shirt or suit on. |

1. Shaving your noggin, and getting tattooed does not a bad-ass make, being me does. Don't be a poser. 2. Head tattoo= Here, take my hand. Now slap yourself with it. Seriously, at some point your going to end up with two choices. Shaving, or high dollar fucking doll-head hair transplant. Nobody likes the 'Monk' look, or the bald guy ponytail. Save the tattoos for those beefy arms, and swollen pecs. My personal/professional choice is to not much more than a peek of my tattoos extends outside of T-shirt range. Mike Tyson and a few prison lifers can back up a head tatt, can you? I don't think I could and I can bench 315. Shave your head, grow a vandyke, sport a fedora and sunglasses. Works VERY well for this guy. I'll wear that with a fitted white V-neck 505's and sandals to a sunny tiki/beach-side bar. Order a Manhattan, against everyone else's faggot fruit juice girly drink. I don't even have to make an effort to approach...... |

I'm a lean 190 at 6'1. Most I've ever benched is 330. My bench is at about 285 right now, but I've recently started going back to the gym to get bigger. I have 18" arms when their pumped after hitting the gym that day. I've got a thin skeletal frame, so I don't look the biggest with professional clothes on. I trained MMA for about 6 years. When I go out I usually wear tight fitting shirts, so it makes me look big. I'm not a beast, but I definitely get looks from people when I'm wearing tight fitting clothes. |

I'm going through the exact stage right now. Balding sucks. Like so ![]() These hats are my saving grace! I'm also taking Rogaine for hair growth, it supposed to have some sides to some people, so I hope to not be one of those people otherwise I will stop taking it. My hat does me well and I seem to be getting laid more than when I did have hair! (im wearing the hat in this pic)P.S. PLEASE FOR FUCK SAKE, DO NOT GET A TATTOO OF HAIR. |

What do you think of the hat bro? Puts a nice classy edge to the individual. I keep getting accused of being a posh farmer looking hunk. |
