I'm like a 7. If a woman's going to make a first move, that's as good-looking as she's going to get.

Are guys just not into first move stuff or strong, verbal flirting? What am I supposed to do, just sit back and wait for them to get rejected by all of the 8s in the room? That's like having Diglet as a Pokemon card: I have one move that does basically nothing.

As you just mentioned Pokemon for an analogy, I'm going to guess you're hanging out with adult men who also play Pokemon(and similar stuff). They aren't exactly renowned for their skills with women. They're probably literally scared of you.

Maybe try acting like the anime girls they like?

I'm honestly turned off by anyone woman thats coming across as too forward. A guy likes to feel like he is the one who captured you. imagine if all the ash's pokemon just jumped into his balls.

For example.. He saw a big mean charizard and it was blowing fire looking like it would destroy anything in his path. So he prepared to have a huge battle; he was nervous and excited... He sends out his fire pokemon and it does its weakest attack and the charizard collapses to the floor an jumps in his poke ball..

He would like at it like it was weak and not worth it since it came across so easy.

Now that same situation reversed.. Ash had to fight for hours, lost 3 pokemon, wasted 2 poke balls but on the third he was finally able to capture it. How much more valuable would that charizard be to him.

Let him feel like he won you over.. Like he worked for it. He'll value you, that much more

If they're backing away, maybe you've offended them, have bad breath, or they got a weird vibe from you they didn't like (that's meant to be completely constructive, BTW).

I can't really think of another reason.

I notice that if I smile at a guy and wait for him to come over, he thinks he's da man, thinks I'm so digging him, and tries to score hotter, rather than take it as a compliment and try talking to me. I have a feeling that snap-judgements can interfere/ make it difficult for me to transition into getting a response. Waiting for the first move gives you more girl-cred, but it's fruitless and pointless.

*I'm definitely not an 8. I polled some objective married men "who would know," and got 7.

Give specific examples. As in "So there was this guy last week... he did this... I did this... then he said he needed to convert to incelism", etc.

Okay, tone down on verbal flirting. Only really confident men will square with you on that one. Amp up physical flirting, smiles, etc. In your mind think "I'm sexy and confident".
