Here's the deal, according to many people that meet me, I give off an overconfident/douche vibe. I was talking to a girlfriend of mine and she said I looked overconfident when I walked into a party but when I asked what was said that expressed that overconfidence the resolution was that it was how I carry myself which in retrospect is not necessarily a bad thing.

It always seems that people think I'm a douche and then they get to know me and say I'm a really cool guy.
Now, I'm the kind of person who is always trying to better himself. I like to make the necessary adjustments to perfect my game and how I portray myself. I'd say I'm an assertive, alpha individual because I do carry myself with confidence but at the same time I have a good head on my shoulders.

I feel like I shouldn't apologize for my actions or the way I carry myself but at the same time I don't want to have to justify myself every time something like this is said.

I've talked to many girls, and most of them agree to say that a good-looking guy who knows he's good-looking and who shows it off loses his value. They don't find him attractive anymore. They'll go like : "who the hell do you think you are?"
Of course, if you have the looks, you probably are still getting laid, especially by girls who don't know you that well or drunk horny girls.
On the other side, insecurity is a bad thing as well. So you just need to find the right balance.
